"It is the distant future. The year 2000," said one half of Flight of the Conchords, Jemaine Clement. In the Conchords' future, we humans were wiped out by robots and their poisonous gases and all that remained were the machines singing binary code. In Ubisoft's future, humans are much less powerless/extinct. Soldiers are nearly super-powered with vision-defying cloaking devices, UAVs that could locate a crumb in your mustache, and lots of other ridiculous weapons and equipment readily available at your disposal.
These two new videos highlight plenty of gameplay from the newest Ghost Recon, although the latter of the two is brought to us by Gamestop TV, which routinely makes silly machinima into advertisements. In this case, they want you to know that pre-orders are instantly upgraded to the Signature Edition of the game.

For those of you involved in the beta, how do you like it? Some of us on the news team have a play session arranged this Sunday, which I think means we can all take turns being Dat Boi Treezy's target dummies. Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is due out on May 22nd in North America and May 25th elsewhere. |

Put over 20 hours into the demo.
I tried to give Ghost Recon a chance but it couldn't sell me. The imbalances, controls, graphics, gameplay... everything felt half baked. The one thing it did do was make me go back and reinstall the original.
Pre-order cancelled. Let's hope Rainbow Six fares better. Ubisoft is running out of shooters. |

| I enjoyed the game from the demo however won't be picking it up as I don't have any friends to play it with so I'll probably pick it up once the price drops and join a session or two |

| i have high hopes for this game. i saw the ability for this game to be great if they edit some of the multiplayer (constant server drops were annoying early in beta). the game is so much better with a team though. |

| Graphics look compleatly different on xbox then the videos for one. Multiplayer is pretty terrible, if your going to get it be prepared the only thing any player is going to do is camp behind a wall and mash uav grenades and remote controled uav grenades. Then the bonus is the game is in 3rd person so no having to actually look around corners or over ledges to see. So all game detected will flash on your screen meaning you are now outlined in red and the enemy can see your every movement and what direction your looking. dont want to leave out the tazer which is stronger then every gun in the game, one shot will stun the enemy for about a minuite allowing you to either hack there bodys giving the entire team the ability to see all enemys outlined in full red or you can just taze them again and its an instant kill. One of the worst multiplayers ive played in a long time. |

This is one beta I've been in, that the company has an almost instant fix for the issues at hand. The stun gun used to have 100 rounds from the get-go, however after the feedback from the user base, they reduced it's range and the amount of ammunition. The ammo is now 6 rounds. You have to be in a rather decent range to stun the enemy, which easily gives you the upper hand to neutralize them before they can stun you. Also if you're working as a team, these issues are null.
You can be detected, but that should give you the imperative thought that someone is coming for you. Preparedness is vital. Everything has a counter in this game and if someone is spamming sensor grenades, then you should spam emp grenades. (They not only disrupt the sensor's abilities but can also kill any of the UAV/UCAV/Sentry guns, in one hit.) They also shut down the enemy's hud and give you an edge upon them.
At the end of the day, the game is amazing. IF you coordinate with the rest of your team. If you try playing rambo as most people do in CoD or other fps games. You will lose. |
