Hi all, I'm trying to figure out how the overall leaderboard is calculated. I have Gold Gold Silver Bronze Nothing at the time of posting, for the medals on each difficulty level. I have friends who have much the same who have more points than me. I also have friends who've done much "worse" and still have more points than me.
I can see that the leaderboard has little to do with the medals, but when I'm beating certain friends on 90%+ of the tracks, but not overall I'm certainly confused.
Does anyone know the formula for the points? via the time you have and number of faults.
Do you only get points if you have 0 faults?
Are flawless runs on Longer tracks, such as gigatrack - worth lots?
Are very fast times worth lots more points? (as per Marble Blast Ultra)
Are harder difficulties providing more points?
Do the tournaments count for the main leaderboard?
Do the skill games count for the main leaderboard?
Hopefully we can figure this out, so I know what to focus on. Aside from completing the extreme levels I'm pretty much done with this game. Would like to just compete vs. my friends on the Global Rankings Leaderboard, but can't seem to figure it out.

At the moment there are problems with glitched scores on the Global Leaderboards:

Sounds like there should be a patch coming soon to sort out some of the problems. |

i'm close to 15 million points now, didnt care too much about it, but thats what i can say about total points

On the second page of that forum thread there is a link to a spreadsheet that will give you exact numbers where you can play around with it and see what your score would be with certain conditions.
This is what I have picked up poking around the RL forums.
-Tournaments count, skill games do not (however they did in Trials HD)
-All tracks/tournaments are worth the same, and tournaments are worth the same as tracks.
-Zero faulting is by far where most of your points come from
-Not many points gained after 5ish faults
So basically, don't worry about times unless you've zero faulted everything, or everything that you realistically can, don't waste hours and hours getting test your might from 100 faults down to 50 (as an example), unless you have nothing else to improve. Work your way up from easy to hard since it's all the same.
A time improvement of say 1 second is worth more on a beginner track than an extreme track, might sound the opposite of how it should be but it's much harder to improve the easier stuff since it's easier to get closer to the theoretical max. There is an imaginary time goal for each track that is unobtainable and the closer you get to it the more points you get.
Just to clarify about the all tracks are worth the same, that is at 0 faults and crazy fast time. |
