Extra content is already inbound
Ubisoft is following the trend of announcing DLC even before a game hits retailers. The "Arctic Strike" map pack is the first DLC for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and will arrive on the Marketplace on July 3rd, setting you back 800 MSP.
The DLC will include maps that will feature Moscow and the Arctic wastes amongst other locations, a new multiplayer mode, a new Guerrilla co-op mode and six additional weapons.

Be a Ghost, starting May 22nd in North America and May 25th in Europe when Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is released. |

| I hope this is good co-op-wise, if so then that's my summer sorted. :) Let's have an 800 point DLC each month across the summer. It's been too long a time without some GRAW co-op stuff to achieve! |

but it's not even out yet... I don't see the sense in announcing this stuff before the game is even released. |
I wish Raccoon City's campaign matchmaking wasn't so bad |

| I'm really happy to see that the DLC isn't first day or anything. Like the idea of adding more guns to the game as well. And more co-op is always a plus. |

| I love GR so I will certainly buy this but cannot help being a bit irked that they have announced DLC already when the game is not even out and has been pushed back literally years from the time it was first announced. Just hope it is as good as the hype. |

| I guess it was inevitable that all the game companies would start abusing DLC after it became a staple part of a successful video game. |

| Pricey for 800 points and could be on the disc, surely that content wont take up massive amounts of storage space. |

As for those of you griping, with the game being out in the next 12-15 days that means that they are now in the production and shipping phase. They are no longer able to add anything else to these millions if not billions of copies. Chill out. Two, they're not releasing this on Day 1 like other companies which means they most likely had a team start this DLC project just recently. They're not shorting us anything that couldve been put on the disc unless you all would like another delay.
As for the person that made the 70 game comment, I'm sorry, is someone putting a gun to your head and forcing you to buy dlc now?
Can everyone not get their panties in a bunch over the announcement of dlc? Christ it sounds like any dlc announced within 6 months - 1 year of a titles release has people saying it should have been on disc. |

Pretty much a school boy error announcing the DLC before releasing the game. At least release the game for a couple weeks and then spring it on people, not only will you keep the current players but you will attract new ones.
I do think that these games with DLC need to have a set time release. I would make it illegal to release DLC at any time within 2 months of the retail release date. I think the developers would make more money this anyway in the long run. |

Everyone understands they have no obligation to buy either the game or the DLC right? I wonder how many people really don't buy a game because DLC is announced before it's released. Let's see how Max Payne 3 does. |
