My power supply keeps cutting out 10-15 minutes after I turn the console on. I've left it unplugged overnight, checked all the connections, and tried a different outlet to no avail.
Can anyone tell me a good place to get a replacement power supply? I have a Gamestop nearby but their power supplies are all used and I would hate to have the same problem again a few weeks down the line. |

Personally, I got a reburished one from ebay and haven't had any problems. Although Amazon sell new ones.
Make sure you get the correct wattage power supply though. There are a few types out there and the details should be on the underside of your current psu (150w,175w ect) |

My Elite's power brick has a listed Output of 150w and on the 12v line, it puts out 12.1A.
To compare to my Premium & NTSC-J box, the Output is 203w with a 12v rating of 16.5A.
The Input should be the same for both Premiums and Elites given the way American home electrical grids are set up. |

The sockets are actually designed to be compatible with higher wattage PSUs, but not lower. Check it out. So as long as the PSU you get outputs greater than or equal to the draw of your 360, you'll be good to go. In fact, due to Microsoft's very clever plug/socket system - if you can physically plug them together then you're good to go. It's a shame you're not in New Zealand. I have two spare Power Supplies for 360. I should probably sell one. |

| EB Games/Gamestop sells them dirt cheap. My rabbit chewed my cord and I picked one up there for just over $10. |

Hello there!

GameStop sells both older model power supplies, and newer slim model power supplies. The slim version of the power brick is VERY difficult to find, this is due to the fact that they are almost NEVER traded in, and the only way you can purchase one of these from GameStop is used. This product is not available to purchase new as Microsoft does not offer it to retailers as an accessory. If you are wiry of buying a pre-owned one for fear of having the same issue, you shouldn't worry. GameStop offers a 30-day money back guarantee on all pre-owned games and accessories. Also, contrary to what JMJimmy said, they aren't exactly "cheap". The going rate for an older model is $39.99, and the slim runs $44.99 (at least this is what I remember from a few months ago when I worked there). Keep in mind, the price may vary from region to region.
Hope I helped,

Just did a quick search for you on eBay, found some new ones from Top Rated Sellers for $22-25 with free shipping. Also found one on Amazon.

Research prices people! Of course GS will be the most expensive route. Go to ebay or Amazon, like Phantom pointed out you can buy them for around $25.
Jeez, I sell them for $10 locally when I get extras. Don't get ripped off! |
