I don't know anybody who plays just one genre of video games, and I doubt you do either. We all love lots of different games. Some days I just want to jump in a tank and blow up buildings in Battlefield, and when it's a rainy night there's really no type of game I want to play more than a survival horror. Of course, we all have our favorites too. For me, there's nothing better than a third-person action/adventure story.
What about you? Of the fifteen (not counting 'Special') separate genres as defined by the Content team here on TrueAchievements, which genre is your most preferred? For a reference on what each genre contains and its sub-genres, read this page.
Poll: Which of the 15 different genres here on TA is your favorite to play?
3.4% - Action
21.7% - Action-Adventure
0.6% - Adventure
0.5% - Card & Board
5.7% - Music & Rhythm
0.2% - Party
1.7% - Platformer
1.2% - Puzzle
5.8% - Racing
34.6% - Role-Playing
18.8% - Shooter
1.2% - Simulation
2.3% - Sports
1.8% - Strategy
0.5% - Vehicular Combat

| As much as I like music games, Action-Adventure has some of the best games out there, and I really enjoy them. |

Ooo, a very difficult on this time TA! I like most genres, though I had to narrow it down to those I prefer which is Action, Adventure and Role-Playing. In the end I chose Role-Playing |

| Music games, strange as it sounds, offer the most re-playability in my books, so the vote goes for them! |

| Part of me wants to vote Action for H&S but RPGs were the first genre I played and will probably be the last. Gotta stick to my roots. |

| Tough choice between Action-Adventure and Role-Playing, AA in the end. Surprised Shooter is only 3.4% (even from just 31 votes), I would expect that genre to be at the top, or at least within a couple percentage points. |

| Gotta be Action-Adventure for me. Of my games list, about a third of them are action adventure. That said, Shooters are fairly close, at just over a quarter. But I tend to buy them for playing with friends (ie. CoD), and there are very few that I've actually genuinely enjoyed to the extent I have of any of my Action-Adventure games. They have much more engaging stories (and / or considerably better gameplay, ie. LEGO), and multiplayer (which I never enjoy anywhere near as much) is either not present or an addition, not the main focus. |
Feel free to PM me about the GTA IV walkthrough, or any problems you're having with the game. |

Really only two categories that received my thoughts, that of Racing and Sports. Chose the latter because of how many hours I've sunk into baseball games and I've only gotten into racing games in the past year or so. Good poll question. |

RPG. I want more and I want them now! I may not have as many RPG's on my card as other genres but that is mostly because there seems to be so few RPG's as compared to certain other genres " cough shooters cough". Also, there needs to be more WRPG's. I do play JRPG's but they always seem to miss my mark a little bit and the creatures you fight seem to be a little weird and not scary to me. |

| Rhythm! Followed extremely closely by RPG. Been bitterly disappointed to the turnout of good RPGs on the 360 though. |
