| Based on Genre Documentation I think it falls under Platformer. |

Are all platformers. I'll bring up ilomilo to the team.I don't disagree with you on those, but Exit is about finding the right set of actions with various puzzle elements to get the people safely out. That's a puzzle game. |

| Scrabble, Sudoku and Crosswords would obviously fit in the "Word and Number" sub-genre. There is also a "no sub-genre" sub-genre, which could contain all the other puzzle games listed. |

Straight from wikipedia "Puzzle video games are a genre of video games that emphasize puzzle solving. The types of puzzles to be solved can test many problem solving skills including logic, strategy, pattern recognition, sequence solving, and word completion."
I suggest adding an Action Puzzle subgenre for puzzle games that are played in real-time and with direct control over an avatar (much like the Action RPG subgenre, but for Puzzle games) |

No. We did visit Wikipedia when designing the genres at some point. We also decided not to have an "Action" Puzzle genre. It seems that for a lot of people "Action" is just a container for everything that seems odd. Most "Action" games are actually of a more refined sub-genre such as Maze which we have not implemented.

In these cases we focus on the board nature of the game. As for the others, please do not confuse games that contain puzzle elements for Puzzlers. Some of these games are built around a core puzzle mechanics but they are very different from the games that fit into the Puzzle genre. |

| This is a good discussion. I'm with Vorpal on this one, but I like that this site encourages this type of debate. |

| That you should not confuse games containing puzzle elements to be Puzzlers as by our definition. This argument also applies the other way round of course; please to not confuse Puzzlers containing enabling gameplay elements not to be Puzzlers. Just loose the "As for the other" and all should be clear! |

We have decided to reassign the game to Puzzle, no sub-genre. Thank you for your patience!
While the game contains platforming as an enabling element, the nature of the game is closer to a Puzzle game! |
