The trouble with claiming at a 1830mAh battery is one of the largest on the market doesn't make a damn bit of difference when your device is draining around 500mA of current per hour.

My 1500mAh HTC Trophy 7 battery lasts around 3-4 hours of solid gaming from a full charge. It's dreadful.

The reality is games and app developers need to be conscious of how much power they are draining. Whether they actually need to use the peripherals such as accelerometer and gyroscopes or not.

With windows phone 8 coming out in the fall, is this worth the slightest purchase without a contract.

I'm looking at purchasing a windows phone for achievements and just use wifi. Do I need to be connected when I earn achievements or can I download games, earn achievements offline, then reconnect and upload them? I haven't read anywhere that people have issues with this but thought I would throw it out there.
