Hey Sasha,
Flag Descriptions said:The Stackable flag is applied to any achievement that can be unlocked by fulfilling the requirements of a similar, more difficult achievement.Since this has no "more difficult" counterpart (for example, a "complete the campaign for the first time with only your knife"), this cannot be stackable to difficulty-related completion achievements.
Thanks for taking the time to offer a suggestion! |

All three of those pop at the same time when you complete the campaign on "Elite" difficulty on the first play-through. The "Advanced Warfighter" is already marked as stackable, so "Just Another Day at the Office" should probably be too.
The "Just Another Day at the Office" achievement is basically the "Complete on Easy mode" equivalent of the other two. |

| But it's not the "complete on easy mode" achievement. It mentions nothing of difficulty and thus, isn't related to the difficulty-specific achievements. I understand what you're trying to say, and understood it when Sasha said it (about it unlocking at the same time as others), but please see my response above from the flag definitions. |

| Let me offer another way of looking at it... Advanced Warfighter could also be construed as "Complete the campaign in Veteran for the first time" and Future Soldier could be construed as "Complete the campaign in Elite for the first time." (In fact, that's how you unlock both of those achievements.) In that way, both of these are the "similar, more difficult achievements." JADATO is going to pop when either of the other two do... you don't have to do anything special in order to unlock that as opposed to the other two. |

Basically the determination by the staff after discussion about it was:
These do not get Stackable. I mean, it unlocks at the same time but there is no way that any combination of other stackables can result in a redoubling of effort.I can only repeat myself really, so I'm not going to. |

Not sure I understand...
Definition (as posted above): The Stackable flag is applied to any achievement that can be unlocked by fulfilling the requirements of a similar, more difficult achievement.
Complete the campaign on Recruit (on your first play through), you only get: - Just Another Day at the Office In order to get the other two, you will have to replay the campaign, at least once, on the more difficult settings.
Complete the campaign on Veteran (on your first play through), and you get: - Just Another Day at the Office - Advanced Warfighter Again, you have to replay the campaign to get the other.
Complete the campaign on Elite (on your first play through), and you get: - Just Another Day at the Office - Advanced Warfighter - Future Soldier
Elite is more difficult than Veteran, and Veteran is more difficult than Recruit, and you can unlock all three by picking the more difficult of the three game modes on your initial play through the campaign.
These do not get Stackable. I mean, it unlocks at the same time but there is no way that any combination of other stackables can result in a redoubling of effort. If you chose to play the campaign on Recruit (or Veteran) on your first play through, you will have to play the entire campaign again in order to get "Future Soldier". So, yes, you would have to redouble your effort if you didn't select Elite on your first play though.
You do NOT have to play the game on the individual difficulties (Recruit, Veteran and Elite) modes in order to get those three 'complete the campaign' achievements. You can simply select the hardest mode (Elite) the first time you play though and get all three at once...
So, according to the definition posted, they are stackable.
Shadow Enz said:But it's not the "complete on easy mode" achievement. It mentions nothing of difficulty and thus, isn't related to the difficulty-specific achievements. I understand what you're trying to say, and understood it when Sasha said it (about it unlocking at the same time as others), but please see my response above from the flag definitions. But it is. Although the description does not specifically say 'do it on easy mode', it is actually awarded for doing it on Recruit mode (the easiest of the three). And the other two are similar ("Complete the campaign..."), but more difficult (completing it on Veteran or Elite is harder than just completing it).
I guess it depends on how you look at it... Are you going only by the descriptions of the achievements, or by how they actually work? Because if you completely ignore the descriptions and look at how the achievements are actually unlocked (which is what this site is all about), those three are stackable.
EDIT: there isn't actually an 'easy' mode. The three difficulty levels are Recruit, Veteran and Elite. Edited my post to remove all references to 'easy mode' and reflect Recruit correctly. |
