PIXEL! is a Beautiful Platformer
Arkedo Series - 03 PIXEL! is one of the best looking platformers I have played in a long time.

"MORE BLUE" : Arkedo/Pastagames' answer to Avatar.
RELEASE DATE: 12/21/2009 DEVELOPER: Arkedo GENRE: Platformer FEATURES
Offline players 1 Dolby Digital PIXEL! is the third, and final, game in the Arkedo project series. An undertaking in which the studio had attempted to develop and release on game per month.
As Pixel the cat, you have grand adventures when everyone else in the house is asleep. Battling fruit, walking trees, and more as you traverse each level looking for the exit. This game is a beautiful game, which is primarily presented in shades of blue and white.
One interesting addition to the normal platforming gameplay, is that of the puzzle element. At various points in the stages, you are tasked with searching out a hint in the level. Once these hints are located, you have to make your way through a maze mini-game to advance further. These puzzles are presented in a super-zoomed in view, which adds a nice mix of color to the otherwise monochrome pallet.
Arkedo Series - 03 PIXEL! is more expensive than some other indie titles at 240 MSP, but the excellent visuals make up for the premium price.
If you have an Xbox Live Indie Game that you feel should be featured in an edition of the Indie Games Spotlight, please PM your suggestions to mancide.

| Arkedo has a great aesthetic for its games. But the games are mostly ho-hum after a brief while. Pixel the cat is not a very interesting game past the eye-candy. Their DS game Big Bang Mini is also fun to watch but not very entertaining. |

| My sis asked me to buy one of these about a year ago. We both enjoyed it for a little while but it quickly got dull and boring. It looks nice though |

The bit I played of this in the demo a while back was fun, but I keep balking at the 240msp price. I would likely buy it at 80msp. Maybe I'll give the demo another shot as it's been over a year since.
Arkedo's second game, Swap!, is a fun albeit simple puzzle game. I bought that when it was oddly on DOTW once. |
