Don't get too excited
The week after E3 finally sees the list appear showing us the permanent Xbox LIVE discounts for June. With only one XBLA game and a list of Games on Demand that will vary per region, there isn't a lot to get excited about this month. Here is the list:
Arcade Games Monday Night Combat - 1200 MSP 800 MSP
Games on Demand - prices vary per region The Biggest Loser: Ultimate Workout de Blob 2 The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Fallout 3 Fallout: New Vegas Frontlines: Fuel of War Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Stuntman: Ignition Transformers: War For Cybertron
Some of the prices are not yet reflected on the Marketplace, so please be careful before you make a purchase. |

| Most of these games are quite old have have dlc, which isn't included. It'll still be cheaper if you buy the ultimate edition/GOTY online on amazon or in a store. |

| I would love to pick up Transformers, but I can probably get it for half of this discounted price at any game store. Once again, GoD has failed gamers everywhere. |

| I only bought Tales of Vesperia with GOD but only due to ultra rare availability in AUS. However in most cases GOD games are too expensive and you still have to download everything spending more space on your HDD. |

I've bought two GoD.
Prototype which is only 19.99 and sells in stores now after Prototype 2 came out, for upwards of 25-30
and Resonance of Fate because it is still almost 20 used and is hard as hell to find where I live. |

I'm not opposed to buying digital copies of retail games (have done so three times), but the price points need to reflect the actual price of a copy on disc. Honestly, I don't know if the game's publisher sets the price or if Microsoft handles that, but sometimes, it can be ludicrous.
Speaking of rappers, that brings me to a good example. A couple of months ago, 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand was $59.99 on demand (probably still is). So, I ended up purchasing it at GameStop for $14.99 preowned. Normally, I'd rather support publishers by getting it new, but that's too much of a gap in price for a game that isn't exactly a new release. |

It's 10-30 usd cheaper than anywhere else I've seen (not that I've looked too hard). |

I actually found this sale a little bit exciting. I checked De Blob 2 and it's $14.99, that's the first time I've seen a GoD title for less than $19.99. I thought they were always going to make them at least $19.99, no cheaper, so it's nice to see them dropping the prices a bit.
A $14.99 GoD game equals 1040 MSP in Canada. That's only 240 more than your average arcade game, and I get a full retail game with 1000 gamerscore. If more games start dropping to $14.99, I'm interested. |
