Action is his reward...look out, here comes the Spider-Man
Beenox and Activision are close to the release of The Amazing Spider-Man. Fans of the web slinging super hero have been well treated with Scorpion screenshots, a Web Rush trailer and some Spidey pre-order details.
Recently, Beenox released a developer diary that shows Peter Parker swinging through New York City.

| I never really liked the spidey games, I used to just spend all my time messing around in the city! Swinging about and jumping off buildings etc. |

| The scale is massive. I'm digging the look of the combat, it looks like it's ripped from the Batman games. That's not a bad thing though. The phone and map reminds me of GTA. A Spiderman GTA haha, I'm looking forward to this. |

What happened to spidey senses??Agree - looks very similar to WoS. Not very pleased with Beenox either after just finishing EoT (which was just an anemic version of Shattered Dimensions). The new costume looks good, but I will wait for a big price drop. |

I though WoS was a vast improvement on Spider-Man 3, however, SD and EoT were brilliant linear games, and a great change of pace from the open-world / sandbox concepts. Web of Shadows was still a great game, but SD and EoT were awesome on their own.
As for Beenox, they have only impressed me since SD. EoT was short, but I won't complain given the story was superb. And what Beenox has done where with open concept and free-flow combat looks INCREDIBLE! Release date purchase definitely. |

| Have yet to play a Spiderman game I've enjoyed the combat for, however the slinging around in a free roam setting was always fun. Will definitely keep an eye out for this one as a rent. |
I may or may not have been Izuna Dropped on my head as a child. |
