No Travolta in this face-off
Call of Duty: ELITE premium members should get their guns locked and loaded as the monthly content drop has arrived for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The freshly-brewed content will feature a new spec-ops mission and three new face-off maps.
Without further hesitation, let's get the ball rolling and showcase what you will be receiving in this ELITE content care package.
Arctic Recon http://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/007969.jpg
Requiring surgical precision by air, land, and sea, this new Special Ops mission tasks you with destroying a Russian battleship by planting beacons for an air strike. Take control of a recon helicopter to reveal the beacon locations before fighting off forces on the ground to ensure the ship never leaves port.Vortex http://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/007972.jpg
No storm shelter can keep you safe in “Vortex,” the all-new "Face Off" map that places you just outside the danger zone of a devastating tornado.U-Turn http://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/007971.jpg
A bombed-out, gridlocked highway provides a perfect backdrop for combatants on this all-new "Face Off" map, where oil fields burn black high above six-lanes' worth of abandoned cars, buses and paths for attack.Intersection http://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/007970.jpg
A New York bridge overpass provides the backdrop for this all-new "Face Off" map in which an ultra-condensed 2-block battle zone allows players to fight on the first and second floors of surrounding apartments and bombed-out bodegas.Call of Duty: ELITE premium members will be able to download the new content from the in-game menu. If you are not an ELITE premium member, you can still nab the two content collections from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

And yet, lets be honest. It's 75g. and It's gonna be 1200 MSP, like the rest of the bullshit Activision pulls. Right now, MW3 should be up to 1,750G, but it's at 1,385G, so I predict Collection Pack #4 will be 115G, bringing it to 1,500G. You heard it here first.
I'm sick of this ripoff bullshit from Activision. I've paid enough for this BS DLC. I'm not buying a CoD game again. There's plenty other games I can enjoy rather than wasting so much money on this utter tripe.
Activision need to get it into their heads that I don't give a flying fuck about their shit, repetitive multiplayer, so tehy should split the maps up, and just offer them for like 240MSP for each map. It would be much fairer, and cheaper for us. |

These DLC packs are nothing more than "added bonuses". In turn, DLC achievements are nothing more than added bonus points to those that are willing to spend hundreds of MSP on them. |

It is more than fair enough to say you consider the game complete at that point but to say It is complete is a matter of opinion... |

People on here really have to realize that this entire site's userbase makes up less than 1% of the entire xbl userbase, they don't care about what you think about achievement values since most people don't care and buy it for the content itself. They will never let decisions be affected by achievements, ever.
And original 1k is the real completion, DLC is just bragging rights. I won't buy DLC if it's not worth it just for points/completions, and anyone who does has no right to complain about dlc pricing or release schedules since they're leading MS on by letting them think the dlc is being purchased for the content and not the points. |

For those of you complaining I see your point/s but at the end of the day surely you could have seen that Spec Ops had been worked on a lot more in MW3 than previous titles. With Elite coming out it was fairly obvious that some Spec ops maps with achievements would be released. Lots of you complain and say you hate the game but still rent it for the Gamerscore then bitch about it when they release 'overpriced dlc with achievements'. If you hate the game that much and think the DLC is overpriced then don't rent the game.
Back to the content itself. This Spec Ops mission was a bit trickier than the other DLC missions. The 3:30 achievement took me a while even on regular. |

Recently ive been cutting back on buying DLC and either passing on it or waiting for it to go on sale. People should not complain about DLC, no one is forcing you to buy it and if you feel you have to buy it for the completion then thats your own fault, not Activisions or anyone elses for that matter. Anyways, I played the new maps with a buddy today and they're pretty fun and different. Especially the Intersection map. Oh! They hid some teddy bears in them too ;) |
