Last month, a selection of content went on sale for various games in the Guitar Hero and DJ Hero franchises. Activision seems intent on keeping up that trend and has marked down a fresh batch of track packs. Download links are in the sale prices.

Compatibility Notes:
There is some degree of cross-compatbility between Guitar Hero games, but it's hard to keep straight. Here's a list of what packs work with what games in addition to the game the pack is listed for. If the pack is not mentioned below, then it ONLY works in the game it is listed under.
All DLC in DJ Hero 1 may also be used in DJ Hero 2. This means the "Jay-Z vs. Eminem Mix Pack" will work in both games.
"Avenged Sevenfold" works with Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock and Band Hero.
"Classic Rock" works with Band Hero, Warriors of Rock, and Guitar Hero 5.
"Death Magnetic" works on Band Hero, Warriors of Rock, Guitar Hero 5, Guitar Hero: Metallica, and Guitar Hero: World Tour.
This sale runs through Monday, June 25th.

| I am gonna buy all the guitar ones. I still support them/ play them and still hope for guitar hero to put out a new kick ass game, some day. |

Aw, man. I must have phantom vision, because I swear I saw that Rock Band was mentioned in the tagline.
Apparently the Death Magnetic album is the easiest way to get a few of the hardest streak and score achievements in GH3. A couple of the guides say that it even works over Xbox Live coop as long as you are host, but I've tried it to no avail, so beware.
As for what I'm buying, I would've been tempted by Jesse's Girl were it not coming to RB later this year. The DJ Hero stuff is tempting, though. |

| just too little too late, guitar hero 3 and Death Magnetic are 4 years old now, almost 5 for GH3, this should already be half off or more considering age and the fact that the game is no longer produced. i would love o pick it up, if only it were more reasonable |

| If I still played the Guitar Hero games i'd probably pick up the Metallica pack, but its a little late for a sale like this to spark my interest in dusting off the guitar that's sitting on my shelf. |

You can certainly use Death Magnetic songs to get appropriate achievements in the other games, but GH3 is the only game where the DM songs are the easiest way (and by far) to do so. |

| Death Magnetic is one of the best DLC's i've purchased. I bought it for GH3 and it's worked for all the GH's from then on wards. Well worth it for some achievements as well. |
