As Sashamorning suggested in another thread - which probably didn't get much attention, hence I'll re-post it here - the current system doesn't provide a direct link from the achievement posted in the walkthrough's page and the achievement page itself. I actually remember this being different in the past, but anyways.
What (s?)he meant is that there should be something like that if you click on the name of the achievement (or its icon, or both) put in the walkthrough pages, then you can be taken directly to the achievement's page on TA (the trueachievements.com/aID/aName.htm page). This would help checking out more solutions for that achievement.
I was actually thinking at another system (though the previous point remanins), that is to say we could add the "Achievement Guide" icon in the achievement list on the right side of the walkthrough pages, like this. |

| I thought the idea of the walkthroughs would be that you don't need to go to the achievement page because it tells you in the walkthrough? |

I think that too, but: - many walkthrougs are just roadmaps for achievements, and "see a solution" is largely used or implied - seeing different solutions can help people
Unless we assume that a walkthrough has all the information needed (which should be, IMO, but currently it's not how the system works) AND that in case of multiple solutions it also adds all of them or chooses the best one, a link to the solutions can always come in handy.
Would you swear before God that when you used a walkthrough for a game with a ratio higher than 1.1 you never looked for other solutions? Well, you might be the exception but that's not the rule. |

I would like this to be added to. For on example, I've used the Just Dance 3 Walkthrough Page 3 - Story walkthrough .
The author didn't include any tips on what songs to use for getting some achievements. So I wanted to see if there were any other solutions who do mention the easiest song(s). But to do that I had to reopen a new tab with TA search for the game and the achievement again.
I've we had this option it would be way easier. |

I agree with this idea. I never use walkthroughs simply because it doesn't link to the solutions for the achievement, and that's what I'm really looking for.
In my opinion, at least based on the couple walkthroughs I've read, a walkthrough is a roadmap that tells you when to look out for/attempt certain achievements, and the solutions tell you how to actually get said achievement. |

| Even if the walkthrough is well written, it's always nice to be able to look at another person's solution with ease for a different view. I would welcome this. |

| This is win. TA is better then x360a I think personally and if TA had a better "achievement guide" tab. It would make everything easyier and smoother. |

Having a direct link to the actual achievement solutions would be awesome if the walkthrough author is not going to help. |

I +1'd the other thread with the same idea, and I'll +1 this one, too.
Walkthroughs don't always tell you how to get the achievements, and if they do it will be their way of getting the achievement. Due to differing skill levels, their way may or may not help in getting the achievement.
The "if there isn't enough information presented in this walkthrough to help you get this achievement, seek further in the solutions page" is implied. It would be nice if it were as simple as merely clicking the achievement icon to get there rather than having to go back to the game's mainpage, find the achievement and click on the solutions link.
The shortest distance between two points is a straight line. Presently, this does not happen between walkthroughs and solutions. |

*bump*
I totally agree with the sentiments in this thread, although I noticed that you were able to click on achievements in the walkthrough (although not on the sidebar) and it would take you to that achievement page; but in the current tab which is rather annoying.I would like to see this change to open the achievement page in a new tab.
Whilst you could Ctrl+Click or right click open in new tab, it seems odd to navigate away from the walkthrough just to check for more information on an achievement. Also, there is no Ctrl+Click facility on a tablet/smartphone, you have to hold on the link and then select *Open in new tab* which is annoying. |
