The Messenger achievement in Far Cry 2 worth 22 pointsComplete all the available Underground side-quests in both the North and the South
This achievement needs buggy. The achievement unlocked for me after doing the last one in the North. I have never been to the south and hadn't done any underground quest in the south. The achievement requires the completion of all quests in both the north and the south, but i have still three underground quests to complete in the south but already got the achievement...

| No problem at all. While we are still debating the matter, could you outline your way of thought to flag the rank based achievements, except for rank 30, as Buggy? Theoretically you could derank from 30 to 20 but that would take even more time than getting from 20 to 30. I personally don't see it as plausible that they can be unlocked unwillingly or unexpectedly which is why I'd love to pick your brains! |

| Well if you use the glitch straight away to get to level 30 then you would have no other choice than to derank all the way to level 5 to get the cheevos. Therefore you would get all the rank cheevos backwards in order and through gaining no exp. I personally would call that buggy but i guess it's open for debate. |

| When you derank to 30 you can let your game rest for a day or two and you will be back to one. Deranking from 30 backwards to 5 is very impractical. I believe that there is no way you could unwillingly glitch these achievements. I am worried that putting the Buggy flag on any except the rank 30 one will be misleading. What is your thought on it? |

I would call these achievements glitch-able, not buggy. As soon as you have the experience to get to level 'x', you get the said achievement. There is no way to muck that said process up. The mentioned 'bug' that would force you to go backwards is more a resulting glitch than a bug in the achievements. Basically, average Joe playing this game will never run into this problem. It must be forced.
Oh and to you comment before ET, deranking from 30-20 will take about 2 hours. Going from 20 to 30 will take about 100 (Unless done in one session, in which it must be done in one 27ish hour session with no drop-outs ) |

| The quick deranking process presumes you have diamonds. When you never gain a rank, you don't have any. I am not sure the game will automatically give you max diamonds if you derank from 1 to 30. Without diamonds you need to derank by earning negative XP. At least that is my assumption. It has not been done often yet that all info would be common knowledge. |

It has not been done often yet that all info would be common knowledge.I used this method to get my level 30 ( ) and can confirm that it can be used to get the rest of them aswell. Like any glitch that is yet to be tried and tested a million times, its always best to use a second account first. So I did it with my wifes account as I was finishing off my last few weapons (Was looking up guides to get to 30 for when I finished and discovered the glitch them). I got her to negative level 30 and the achievement, and thus proceeded to de-rank myself to 0 to get it aswell. I noticed that my wifes account had 30 diamonds (As you would have at level 30) so were using/resetting them to derank her. She has the level 5, 20 and 30 achievements, but not that level 10 one
The only problem with the glitch, is that every time you start a new session you will have negative xp and thus be at level 30 again. So if you decided to just "Get level 30 out of the way" before getting level 5/10, then they will have to derank 25/20 games in one session to get them.
The achievements still unlock as soon as you hit the required level as you should, so I still don't see why they should be 'buggy'. If these are buggy, then shouldn't all achievements that can be awarded for split-screening in a game with someone that has them also be 'buggy'? Aka, level 100 in Gears 2, Beat the Campaign in Conviction... |

| I don't agree with that. You say these achievements aren't time consuming since you can de-rank. You know that de-ranking is a glitch right? And thus it should not be counted for the removal of these flags. We can't change flags for the achievements based on there being a glitch related to the achievement or not. If you're going to get this legally, without glitches, it's still time consuming. |

If you're going to get this legally, without glitches, it's still time consuming.Flags have always been based on the shortest method, glitch or not. The reason being is that if someone sees a "minimum 10 hours of play" but someone unlocks it within a few minutes they think they're cheating when they're really just exploiting poor game code. |
Life, it's funny that way. |

| While the reason is a different one, simply, the time you are required to get the achievement, Jimmy is right, we removed the flags. It is a user choice and unfortunately we can't show both choices. But we suppose that users will read up on at least a solution and see what the deal is. Thank you both! |

The flags have been applied with the exception of Missable on the weapon achievement. Upon unlocking all weapons through an alternative method later in the campaign, which cannot be avoided, the achievement will unlock. It is not specifically tied to convoys alone.
Thank you! |
