Okay, so how many people either host or join a gaming session, for someone, or multiple people to leave right near the end. if you have then you know how annoying it is. if not then trust me, it can ruin the session completely, if your relying on 8 people to start and 1 leaves, chances are, you won't find someone else or even have a back up.
My idea is a lock down time, which when there is an hour before the session, or possibly even 90 minutes, everyone who has joined the session can no longer leave, this will allow you to give them negative feedback in they don't show up. Which lets others see how reliable the person is. Without this lock down, people can join and leave 10 minutes before the session and get no negative feedback or anything against them. This would make people think twice about joining a session if they aren't 100% genuine about taking part. |

something needs to be done about this -.- joined a full gaming session and the host ended the session 10 minutes before the start time because he recently got the achievements. & when i've made my own sessions i've had people leave right near the start time which completely ruins the session because we then don't have enough players. i agree with 'youaregod' about a lockdown. it may be a really good improvement to the sessions. |

I'm almost positive that people can't leave the session within an hour of the start of it.

sorry but to my knowledge you are wrong, happened to me today, hosted a halo 3 session, 15 mins from the start time the 8th person left, luckily we could use a guest account. the way i see it, don't join a session to then quit out a couple hours later because "You can't make it" it happens nearly everytime for me but i can't do anything about it, in terms of letting other people know etc. |

Somebody else correct me if I'm wrong. It used to be a thing you're not going mad, i thought it still was in place but ive seen people leave minutes before... and to be perfectly honest the fact its gone is fucking moronic. |

| I've never been able to leave a session with less than 30 minutes until start time, and can confirm it was still not letting me as of a few days ago. If I'm simply mistaken, then this definitely needs to be implemented. If I can't remove a user with less than an hour, when I am knowingly having one less person in the session, why can they just leave at the last minute possibly ruining the entire session for everyone? |

weird :S all i know is that the person who was in my session today left with session 17 mins before the start time. i think it would be helpful for everyone if they were able to be given neg feedback, so when people are looking through their feedback they can take into account the chance they may not show and go from there, whether they remove them and let someone else take the spot or just take their chances. |

from what i've seen previously, its the standard way you leave a session, below is the session i did earlier, if you look, he left at 17:43 but got the same for him as i did for the person previously. Boosting Gaming Session for Halo 3 |

| I thought the rules were 2 hours before a session to kick people and an hour before a session for someone to leave. |

| I don't know how helpful this will be, when I create sessions I usually just let anyone in without looking at their feedback. Maybe I should start looking at it, but I guess I've been lucky that my sessions usually go without a hitch. |

| thats one of the points im trying to make, if you look at their feedback, you won't know if they're likely to leave anyway because we can't make it known, unless they stay in the session and do a no show, i think there should be some way of giving a type of feedback for leaving in short notice to warn others in the feedback |

Somebody else correct me if I'm wrong.I've had members of my sessions (recently) pulling out as close as 30 mins before a session start. This allows no time to find a replacement.
A lockdown time assigned by the host at the session's creation of either 1, 2, 3 or 6 hours depending on the nature of the session is a very good idea.
Then if any TA members think they may not make the session, instead of destroying the session by withdrawing late to avoid negative feedback, they simply wont join.
The only people to dislike this idea would be those who f*ck sessions up and know they wont receive any feedback. I give full support to this, thumbs up |
