So, my darling other half was looking at a game he hasn't started yet and asked me 'how do I filter to see which achievements are MP'.
I quickly realised I didn't know how to do this, and couldn't find any way to do it. I then realised that I would find this a really useful tool when choosing games.
I would like to look at a games page and ask to be shown any unobtainables or discontinued or how many achievements require 3+ people etc. It would help with the millions of posts I've seen requesting that unobtainables are more obvious as well instead of having to scan the entire list.
Thanks. |

Here's a post I made several months ago asking for the flags to be put on the game page
A few achievement sorting requests
There is currently a flag breakdown on the walkthrough page for a game, but not every game has a walkthrough, so there is no breakdown for them
Alternatively, at the top of your gamer homepage here on TA -- where you see "DTI April has won a total of X achievements in Y games" -- click the link on "X achievements".
This will take you to a page where you can see all your achievements. There are options at the top to choose whether you want to see achievements you have won, or ones you haven't (not both though). There are also filters to only show a specific game (as it defaults to showing all games you have), genre, platform, Hide DLC, and the one you want --- filter by flag.
You can't sort by generic "Multiplayer", you'll have to set the flag filter to Versus and see what achievements are there. Then set the flag filter to Cooperative. Between the two of those, you'll have your multiplayer achievements. Also, this page only applies to games you've already gained at least one achievement in. To breakdown flags for a game you haven't started, it either needs a walkthrough, or (incoming shameless plug) you can show some support!! |

| I know about the filtering in games I've played, but I can't use that screen for games I haven't started yet... |

I'd like to bump this idea, as it's occurred to me a few times over the last month or so as I go cheap-game-buying crazy. Multiplayer achievements that make finishing a game hard or impossible (in the case of server shutdowns), and bugged or unobtainable achievements, all factor in to whether I consider picking up a game these days.
That said, having a list of all flags with checkboxes on every game's page is quite a lot of clutter that isn't needed most of the time, so I would suggest using an expandable filtering section such as what exists for the site's All Games or All Achievements pages, and having it closed by default. |
