Just wondering if that was possible to do. I'm currently running around doing side missions before advancing the main plot. I've gotten everyone loyal except Tali and have not found Legion yet.

From what I've read, it seems that keeping the Normandy crew alive while taking Legion to the tribunal for Tali is not possible. To me, that's a bad ending, especially since my FemShep has been keeping Kelly as a booty call-type personage (in-game RP'ing, dunno if she can actually get freaky with her).

I did a male character and I was able to keep everyone alive and do all of the goodside quest in ME2, so it is possible.

I didn't take Legion to the tribunal but it is certainly possible to successfully finish the loyalty missions for everybody and as such have everyone survive the suicide mission.

In fact if you don't manage both Tali and Legion's missions it will make certain achievements within the third game significantly more difficult

Sure, I can easily see all the selectable team members surviving the suicide mission. What I need to know is how to get it such that the regular crew members on the Normandy survive as well (Kelly Chambers, the Mess Sargent, the two engineers, etc.).

Right now, all I've got left for missions is Tali's Loyalty, Acquire Reaper IFF, partway into Lair of the Shadow Broker, and Arrival, iirc. I've done everyone else's loyalty, visited all the systems and such. I don't have Legion yet (I assume he's in the Acquire mission?).

Please note that I'm not trying to spoil anything for you here, so skip this post if you want.

It's been a while, so I can't say with perfect certainty, but I don't think it's possible to save all of the non-selectable characters on the Normandy. With what ends up happening to the Normandy, I do believe that most of them are destined to be not alive any longer. Space is a harsh mistress. Besides, as a FemShep you'll have an opportunity for a new and scrumptious booty-call in the next game.

That's just it Weis...I want the Normandy to be her floating booty palace. She wants ALL the booty! She's not altruistic because she's "good", she's altruistic because she knows that's the best way to make sure she's never without a female in her room! laugh

It turns out that Shep is actually a simulacrum for Joker. Since Joker can't really do much, he had this remote operated body built and he kinda matrixes into it. Full sensory immersion and he gets quick the kick out of hitting on Samara and taking her into the Lair of the Shadow Broker mission with Liara. The asari he did get and the asari he wants to get.

The man's twisted in just the right way. laugh

Man, I think you've just answered the question I've been asking myself for 4 days now with your thread: "Should I replay the entire ME series or just ME3 for the extended cut ending?" I think I'm going to replay the series since your thread has brought to light how much of ME2 I've forgotten lol. I'm sure I've forgotten much more about ME1...

I may be wrong here, but I don't think the fate of the mess Sergeant is expanded on in ME2 or in ME3. I think Chambers is by the end of ME2, but not sure... as I've said, I've forgotten so much.

EDIT: Oh and thanks for this thread since you resolved my 4 day old question with it. Seriously, I've been sitting here with all my free time debating on what I wanna do (and I could've already finished ME1 had I started 4 days ago) haha.

It's not so much his fate being expanded, but rather loyalty to the crew. I like to get as good of ending as possible and losing half my crew does not count as a 'good' ending to me.

The one option that I wish I had changed was saving the Council at the end of ME1. Those douchebags can die. Joker only did it so that there would be more asari to hit on. "Hey baby, you served on the Destiny Ascension? Ya, I saved your pert blue bottom. Now, how about that drink?" smile

Haha, nice on the Joker/Council scenario. I had all kinds of saves for ME1 going into ME2, but I put all my saves on a memory card and I bought a new 360 which doesn't use memory cards. I actually had to play ME1 over again before jumping into ME2 so I'd have a save to xfer. I didn't mind though. It's an awesome series and definitely worth replaying multiple times. Maybe I'll not save the Council this time around.

I hear ya on losing half the crew not being a good ending. It really doesn't make a lot of sense how that could be considered a "good ending," but the ME series isn't always about unicorns and rainbows for an ending so I suppose that's about the best scenario we can hope to achieve and seem somewhat realistic.

When you get to ME3 be sure to try the multiplayer out. I'm not a fan of MP (especially in games I consider single player), but the MP in ME3 is well done and is a lot of fun. Usually MP thrown into a SP game seems to take away from the SP campaign, but not so in ME3. Anyway, just wanted to let you know. ME3 is a great game regardless of how people feel about how the story turned out so be sure and enjoy as much of it as you can!

I have a question. If the Asari are the oldest, wisest and most advanced race currently in existence in the galaxy, how come most of them work as strippers?

WeisGuy9 said:I have a question. If the Asari are the oldest, wisest and most advanced race currently in existence in the galaxy, how come most of them work as strippers?Haha very nice. Maybe the money is just too good to pass up? maybe they're paying for more school? An Asari's schooling must cost an arm and a leg compared to humans given how long they live and how much better their education system would have to be.

But, doesn't it say in ME1 or ME2 at some point that the Asari go into an age where they become a bit more sexual, or provocative or something along those lines? I can't remember what is said or if it was mentioned in the codex or if Liara mentions it, but I do remember it breaking down the phases of Asari aging. Maybe it was Samara in ME2. I'm replaying the games so I'll keep an eye out for it.

Regardless of what I find out, your comment is classic lol.

Ya, the asari have multiple life stages. The Maiden stage is when they are out working as strippers and mercs. Then they go into the Matron(?) stage, at which point they crank out new asari. After that, it's the Matriach stage where they are the advisors/bigwigs in asari culture. The strippers are the ones we see the most of, since well, they're young and exploring the galaxy and themselves (giggity).

There's one real head scratcher comment series in ME2. When you get to Illium, listen repeatedly to the Bachelor Party in that bar (there's also a rather hilarious bit with a turian who has been friendzoned by a quarian and she is completely oblivious to him). At one point, the salarian thinks the stripper looks salarian, the turian thinks she looks turian and the human thinks she looks human. The humie mentions something about asari maybe being able to manipulate other species into finding them as the "ideal". It's a real "What if that's true..." kinda thing.

But good god, those dancing asari are hypnotizing...

To the original question, IIRC, in my game no named characters were lost. I did all loyalty missions, don't recall the tribunal thing with Legion (been a long time).

Minor spoiler: Kelly and both engineers appeared in my ME3 playthrough.

Though I would've said Liara, Miranda, Ashely & Tali. Hell, just gimme them all. Though I will say that Miranda has an ass unlike any ever before seen in vidja gaming.

I just got to the point where the romance option is supposed to come into play and all I can say is...

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Didn't get a single one. No Tali, no Jack, no Miranda, no Samara. Even though she went through the relationship dialog (kinda, dunno if there was more) with Samara. All I got was FemShep looking at Liara's picture.

I wonder if doing the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC before the Suicide mission impacts what, if any, results for the romance scene. She did say marriage, house, and little blue babies to Liara...

So...now I have to do ANOTHER playthrough. At least then I can do it on Casual rather than Insanity.

Ouch! No love for Shepard!

Wait until you get a load of Ashley in ME3. She's apparently undergone some serious cosmetic enhancements. After ME1, I dumped Ash for Tali. When I started ME3, I knew right away I had to make up with Ashley.

They really need to make a poly choice. Make it extremely tough to do, but give it as an option. Hell, make it so that you could romance all of 'em and have to hide it or otherwise sneak around.

At the very least Kelly oughta be thankful that she got rescued. laugh

Have you ever seen the anime Code Geass? I had this flashback to it and a scene involving table-kun (if you've seen it, you know what I mean) when Shep was looking at Liara's picture.
