I'm pretty regular on the site and manage to keep up with most of the news, but sometimes miss something I'm genuinely interested in.
Now that unreleased games have their own page I'd like to be able to add them to my wishlist and then get a notification whenever a news article is written about it or the achievements list appears (similar to the current notification we get now when new achievements appear for games we own).
Might be useful for people who don't avidly follow all of the news articles but are interested in a few specific games.
Edit: Perhaps this would be seperate from the 'wishlist' button, and instead there could be a 'subscribe to news about this game' meaning it would work for released games aswell.

In addition to the above (which I like), could these Unreleased Games have their own Game Discussion Forums, just like released games.
Currently, we just have the Upcoming Games Forum to discuss unreleased games, but if everything is in one place, I think more users would get involved in the discussions. |

| I want to +1 my Nemesis' idea. I completely missed the release date article for Tekken Tag 2 and had no idea that it was out this Friday (EU). Had this feature been in place I wouldnt miss the articles on the homepage. |

I like the idea of subscribe to news but the way news is handled currently would make it unsuitable for me.
If I go to the news box on a games page, using Final Fantasy XIII as an example, the only news I see is for XII-2. Now that we have pre-release game pages this is totally unnecessary and any news should be linked to the pre-release page for the game in question and not existing games in the franchise. I'd also like to see existing news moved to the right game pages to tidy it up but I really don't think that'll be seen as a feasible use of time. |

That way I could tick the box on a game I like and be informed as soon as news appears about its sequel instead of waiting for the unreleased page to be created. |

This would work well with my "notifications for followed games" idea I had on someone else's thread a week ago.
Maybe just make it possilbe to follow games, and get a notification whenever news story is posted for them across the board? (For everything - not just unreleased games).
Or maybe even have your own "news feed" if PMs are too much. |

Would it be possible to get notifications via PM for games of our choosing when there are events like xp weekends and limited time offers? Relevant Deals of the Week as well.
e.g. we would have gotten PMs about St Patrick's day for Calendar Man in Batman or for the limited time skins in Borderlands.
What I was thinking is literally getting a PM saying "This has been released for this game. Here is a link to redeem it" or "This weekend there will be 2x xp." Maybe in a nicer way but that is the jist. |

Maybe to keep things simple you would get a PM saying "A news article has been posted about game X." which then includes the first few sentences or tagline to give you the jist of the article and a clicky to read the full thing.
It would need to pick up where a game is included in DotW even if it is not the primary subject of the article though. |

| That would work, assuming there is a news post for everything. If there is one, it can be linked to. If there isn't one it would be nice to get a PM instead. |
