Hello people!, I don't go on this site much but I hav realised the investigations team are top secret!
How does that system work?If someone leaves are they allowed to tell people?Do they have to agree to special T/C's? |

Hello CroppingOink please have a read of Cheat Policy it should clear up any issues you may have with how the system works.
Regarding the other questions. People can leave the site at their own choice by contacting an administrator or using the "contact us" page. Only if the gamertag has been found guilty of cheating do they have that info recorded so that if they want to join back they'd still be marked as a cheater, ideally to stop cheaters from joining back after leaving and messing with the ratios. (If a non cheater leaves the site then there's no reprocussions) |

Technically speaking there isn't anything in place that prevents someone on the team (or someone that leaves the team) from spilling all the secrets we have... like who is on the team, how we do research, etc. However TA is a private site and releasing information like that can get the person in question banned from the site.
Keep in mind some of the reasons we are secretive.
We don't need to be bothered by people wanting to turn people in while we are trying to play Borderlands 2 with our buddies. "Downtime" would be nearly impossible if everyone knew who each of us was.
We don't need to be hassled by cheaters on XBL. Anyone who's followed the MS forums knows that "The Pro" took a ton of flack from people back in the day.
We don't need people claiming some sort of bias based off how they think we feel about them. For example there have been cheaters removed from the site who I have had negative run-ins with while boosting. If they thought I was responsible for their removal they would be up-in-arms about it (they are aware that I don't like them). The system doesn't give any one investigator more power over the others. Everyone gets an equal say in the vote. While the manager does get the final button push, the record of votes still exists, so I would be hard pressed to abuse the power without getting caught.
If an investigator wants to take the pressure of someone knowing they are on the team, that's their prerogative. However the act of giving out other team members names would result in immediate expulsion from the team. |

Hi forum.
Im not very happy as TA has judged my chieves to be illegit and removed my stat tracking. I want to appeal this decision i feel ive been done wrong. Ive been using this site for a few years and ive introduced countless friends to it, had many a boosting session and wrote a few solutions myself. the chieves in question that apparently are illegit I dont know how they've been picked out as I've no recollection of them popping. |
