I like to take advantage of the great weapons that this dude has. Every time I would complete a mission, I would return to Sanctuary just to take whatever purple weapon he would have off of his hands. But now, he's completely gone.
I have just completed the 'Bright Lights, Flying City' mission and he seems nowhere to be found. I have literally searched every nook and cranny for this guy and the only conclusion I can come up with is that he fell off, (If you completed the mission then you know what I'm talking about) but that seems illogical at the moment.
Is anybody else having this same problem? |

| Same problem...but a higher level friend says he is still in his game, so Im hoping its just a temporary thing! |

| I haven't gotten that far yet (working on 3 characters) but I've noticed sometimes he's just impossible to find. Maybe one of the few spots he spawns in is "not there"? |

| He actually just popped into mine. It seems that I had to complete a few side quests for him to respawn again. All is good again. Thanks for your feedback. |

According to this, it's a known bug that he disappears. |

| With him it's totally random some times he is there and then some times he is not. I found him even after the game and I couldn't find him for a while |

He doesn't disappear. He has more than one possible location:
Moxxi's
In the back room to the right, next to the jukebox.
Next to the slot machines.
Scooter's Garage
Under the stairs on the bottom level.
Alleyway
From the Sanctuary entrance, head up the right staircase and turn right into the small alleyway.
Marcus Gunshop
Bottom of the stairs.
Hostel
On the corner, by the front door. (opposite Moxxi's side entrance)
Dr. Zed's
Middle of operating room.
Crimson Raiders HQ
Between Tannis' workshop and the stairs, bottom floor.
Town Center
Opposite Paradise Station, next to the newspaper stand.
ClapTrap's Hideout
On the left of top of the stairs next to claptrap's stash. |

| Anomalystic, he actually does disappear. I found him 100% of the time (although in different locations, as you suggest) before the quest in the OP. After that quest, I have not seen him once. He may or may not return later, but yes, he does disappear, at least for a significant proportion of those who play the game. |

| From what I read on the GBS forums, he's unavalible during the mission afterwards for a significant time frame. BUT during the next quest (right after you get about 20 side missions - when no one else can find him) I managed to load the Sanctuary about ten times, finding him every time... So I don't even know. |

| He disappeared from my game completely after Bright Lights, Flying City. I search his spawn points every time I hit Sanctuary and he's just gone. I hope he respawns again, I need some more of those blues. |

That is his locations and other people discussing a possible glitch where he disapears. Although they're discussing the glitch about the PC version, it could relate to the Xbox version. I've had no issue finding this guy 9/10 times. With this map, I'll be it's 10/10.
I have glitched quests though, so count your losses and take them. |

once sanctuary flies off, michael is only seen about 10% of the time, before that its 100% though.
it's awesome that gearbox put him in the game, shows they really care about their fans |

I actually started to not be able to find him, but then I did about 3 side quests in the (SLIGHT SPOILER BUT NOT REALLY) Highgrounds (made a shield for "someone") and then he was in Zed's when I returned. I don't know, maybe I'm just lucky.
Maybe this glitch quest is keeping him alive in my game. |
