No longer to be with us by the end of the year
The release of True Crime: Hong Kong has been altered by publisher Activision according to a Activision Blizzard financial report.
Activision Publishing has moved the anticipated release date for its upcoming open-world action title, True Crime(R): Hong Kong, from 2010 to 2011 in order to give the development team more time to deliver the high-quality entertainment experience they envision for the game.Originally scheduled to release during the autumn period of 2010, the title now moves, as detailed above, to as unspecified slot in 2011. Likely in response to big titles due out in the coming weeks and months; Halo: Reach and Fable III as the most immediate threats.
Thomas Tippl, company CFO (Chief Financial Officer) for Activision said that more money had been plunged into the project to improve the final product. I'll leave you with an old trailer for the title to help fill in any general knowledge holes, as it's not the most talked of title at the moment.

But yeah, I gotta agree with you Spliner1001.
There are far to many great games coming out in the next few months.
I'll probaly pick this one up second-hand. |

That's why it was removed.
I'm not surprised either, loads of games are getting delayed and a lot of them still suck! However there was actually a game that was being released earlier than planned, can't remember the name though. It'll come to me eventually! :) |

Loved true crime back on the normal xbox :) this looks awesome.
I'll be keeping an eye on this title for more news |

Yeah this is possibly a good delay with all the games coming out in coming months. Looks pretty good so i might rent it |

Action looks great, but the 3-D models looks pretty weak at the moment, hopefully they will be better.

Seems a bit odd that they've added "Hong Kong" to the name. That's news to me, had formerly just been called True Crime - no number, no colon.
Not a game I'm massively excited for, so I'm not too fussed about the delay. But more development time hopefully makes a better game. |

| I thought the same. The trailer gave above is listed on YouTube as True Crime 3. But the press release is quite specific. Odd. |

You know what, I'm still looking forward to it.
Streets of LA was a great game, I felt, even if it didn't live up its hype.
If they manage to create a properly-convincing and vivid Hong Kong and get the the physics right, this could be a very entertaining game. |
