So I just stumbled across the part of the dashboard that allows you to view your rep (yes, I am so backwards that it took me this long to figure it out), and I'm curious about what people tend to get.
Mine is: 81% preferred or no comment 18% avoided
Aggressive: 33% Unsporting: 66%
Now, I don't play competitive multiplayer all that often, so I'm not that surprised that I haven't had a bunch of rage avoids, but I am still somewhat surprised at the results. I've played a fair amount of MW2 and gotten to level 40 in BioShock 2 twice, so I really would have expected a few more negatives.
(as a side note, I am almost positive I know where most of those negatives came from - a series of BioShock 2 PC matches where my opponents were very vocal about thinking that I was taking the game too seriously. Just because I know where the Big Daddy suit spawns and tend to check those areas when a suit spawns doesn't mean I'm overly aggressive...)
Anyway, I'm curious about what the average rep looks like. So, what's yours and what kinds of games do you typically play? |

I cant't remember the exact % for the Trash Talk etc. Most of the bad rep from Call of Duty 4 and Gears 1&2. |

Trash Talk 10% Language 10% Aggressive 2% Unsporting 53% Quit Early 4%
I know where the trash talk and language comes from... I curse most of the time on MW2. I also get easily annoyed by people singing and being generally stupid (i.e. not defusing a bomb in Search and Destroy if they have ample time to do so). So I get mad and let my anger out, which can turn into some funny stuff occasionally. I also yell at foreigners (read: British) for saying that America deserved 9/11, that's when I break out the hardcore stuff and get my avoids haha. I quit early when I have teamkillers and generally idiotic players. |
I'm entitled to my opinion. |

68% preferred 32% avoided
Trash Talk 28% Unsporting 28% Quit Early 14%
I don't know how I trash talk though, I rarely talk, and when I do it's only when I'm playing with friends or in a party chat. Though, my boyfriend does trash talk and he has played MW2 on my account. Unsporting probably because if you team kill me I team kill back. Quitting early because I will quit if I'm in by myself and i get an invite. Or if my team is full of retards.
Also for those who didn't know, if your %'s don't add up to 100%, it's because you have skill related avoids. For some reason they don't show those. Skill related ones are saying you're either too good for the game or you're terrible at it.
Take mine for example, 28+28+14= 70% meaning that the other 30% of my avoids were because I dominated the other team... I'm not trying to sound cocky, because I honestly think I suck, but how many people honestly avoid someone who sucks? I'd be interested in seeing some numbers on the amount of too good avoids compared to terrible avoids just to see if people don't care when you suck, only when you're good. |

Skill Related Avoids go towards your TrueSkill ranking for the game. Unfortunately I cannot find a single TrueSkill game in that past two years, so it's pretty much useless
42% preferred 58% avoid
82% language 4% disruptive 1% quit early
I really have to stop f***ing swearing over Xbox f***ing live! |

Halo 3 was one of the few that showed you your rank. |

Mine only adds up to about 90% because I suck at Street Fighter and never learn |

And there's little challenge in handling them, either. |

What? Mines at 100% positive, that's it.
I only play MW2 online and talk trash, annoy people and am not a good team player(I kill myself if last alive in s&d) either you lot are really bad or I play with really laidback/lazy people |

trash talk 6% aggressive 26% unsporting 53%
The trash talk has only popped up in the last couple of weeks i'm fairly certain, and i don't know why as i keep pretty clean with my mic.
The other two all came from when i used to play race driver grid, and screwing up on the first corner and ruining several other peoples races secured me those. Copped a fair bit of abuse too actually (voice messages sent after playing with people), it's the only game i've ever got abused via as well. |

I've got 59% preferred 41% avoided Mainly for 'Unsporting,' which almost exclusively comes from salty Super Street Fighter 4 players, or Gears 2 before I fucked it in the bin due to a bad community. Also, I have a few 'Quit Early' negatives, not because I'm a lame rage quitter but because I had a spell of about 2-3 months when my wireless connection was unreliable beyond belief, and I stupidly decided to plough on regardless. |

57% Preferred 43% Avoided
Details: Communications - Trash Talk: 4% (only rarely) - Language: 0% - Disruptive: 0%
Behavior - Aggressive: 4% (Little kids and people that suck at L4D2 and can't hide it come to mind in terms of where I'm aggressive) - Unsporting: 59% (No idea where this came from, possibly team-killing team-killers? Or it could be the One-Shot Glitch L4D1 binge I went on for a little while) - Quit Early: 18% (Mostly when the team sucks, when all the players in L4D2 have no mic, as I can't stand the utter silence, and if I get an invite from a friend)
I was actually hoping it would be aggressiveness that most people remember if they avoided me. Seems that One-Shot Glitch binge had powerful negative effects on my Rep. |

| LGS I Hitman said:^ i wouldn't have suspected that. It's all lies I tell you!! I never quit games early, and I would say I am most certainly not unsporting or aggressive. I rarely ever use my mic anyway, so how I can be aggressive is beyond me. |

Rofl. Is it unsporting to win? Its not like I had my mic on and rubbed it in there face. I merely bet them... consistently... 27 times running (this is true)
I only play Split/Second online. In one survival match, there were four of us. 3rd place got 80,000 points, 2nd place got 155,000 points. THen there was a bit of gap. I got 1,080,000 points. Oops How unsporting of me. Perhaps it was unsporting when I refused to let them beat me to get an achievement. |
