So while my brother and myself were playing Jesus Freak, on RB2 we were near the end of the song during the last solo he had some orange notes while playing medium, and I know this was medium due to the fact that the solo was much simpler than hard.
So my question is to you TA's. Is this the first case in where a song on medium has an orange note, or are there others?
Please feel free to tell me.I am curious. |

| I think they started it with the Nickelback pack, if i'm not mistaken. It's a good idea, if you ask me. You don't have the bass pedal taken out before you reach hard on drums, so it's really not a great idea to do that to guitar/bass either. |

| I've seen it before but I couldn't tell ya what song. I'm thinkin there was one even on GH2 but its been so long since Ive been on medium I couldn't tell ya what one exactly |

Yeah, they changed their easy and medium chart policies a little while ago, around RBN's release, I think.
They specified that Easy charts can have all 5 frets, but must have no chords, and be easy to the point that someone can look at the screen, see the note coming, look at the guitar, press the right fret and then look back at the screen again before the note's gone.
It's all pretty interesting reading actually, it's a very well thought out system, there's lots of charting policies that you rarely even notice.
And yeah, the move to include all frets in all difficulties is a good one, IMO, I'm a pretty reasonable plastic guitarist these days, but it still feels weird to play in the 12344 position because I cemented myself into 11234 as soon as I moved to Hard. This change will get people moving all over the fret board from the get-go without making it too hard. It should also make the dreaded medium to hard transition a little more smoothe. |
