Goodies Galore!

Although the deadline has passed for the free upgrade to the Bioware Signature Edition of Dragon Age II, Bioware has just released details on some new, in-game bonuses for those still interested in pre-ordering.

Those who pre-order Dragon Age II will receive the Lion of Orlais Shield and the Fadeshear Sword. The Lion of Orlais Shield will increase your health and provide a bonus in XP gain while the Fadeshear Sword does additional damage against demons and the undead. Game Informer has also managed to get a picture of Hawke using both.

In addition, gamers who purchase a new copy of the game will also gain access to "The Black Emporium" which Bioware describes with the following:

Nestled deep under Kirkwall, you'll find a market with a curious collection of items, some for sale, some for free, and ranging from the mundane to the myserious! One artifact can even transform your very body, face, hair, eyes - all new! We've even granted you your very own mabari war hound to call to your side with a whistle - a boon in battle and a beloved pet at home. Visit the Black Emporium today, and you'll be the envy of adventurers everywhere. Your invitation awaits!Dragon Age II is set for release on the 8th of March in North America and the 11th of March in Europe.

Project Ten Dollar continues. Of course, it's always nice to know that I'll be getting more content for money that I've already spent.

How much skill does it take to unlock these things? No no skill at all, just money. So i still have to finish Origins first, guess this one will cost 30 bucks by then or 40 with all DLC (GOTY).

Kamelbarn said:Just because of this crap I'm going to buy it used. Why? Because they give you a bonus for buying the new game, you boycott it. I can't understand why people like you punish yourselves by avoiding any possible extras. "If I get something extra, it pisses me off.. bla, bla, bla." If they released it so that all you got was a title screen, would that be stripped down enough, or is that also too much content. You don't understand business. They encourage you to buy new games because that way the developer can afford to continue making games for you to bitch about. They add DLC as a form of advertising incentive to grab interest and sales figures show it works very well. They don't make money off used games, so if you only buy used to spite them, all you're doing is bankrupting a company whose games you want because you feel like taking a stand on something stupid like bonus content for people who buy new games. Don't understand your logic here, or lack of it.

Blah, but pretty much ALL The armour in the first game was red and black. (And after a fight with ANYTHING in the entire world) was tinted red.

evem if i pre ordered this i woulden't use the items, i like to start these games from scratch and build my character up slowly, not useing powerfull items at the start, seems cheap to me.

If it's like the 1st game's pre order armor, you'll have to level up a dozen times or more before you can even use it. Just a bunch of stuff taking up inventory space for half the game in other words.
