The snow falls as the trio of human, elf and dwarf make their way to Mount Gundabad to the North. Stealth is needed to infiltrate the enemy lines and suppress the plans to destroy Rivendell. Sauron, Agandaûr and the force of the Black Númenóreans must be defeated if Middle-earth is to be saved in The Lord of the Rings: War in the North.

At the dawn of the Third Age, the Dark Lord Sauron claimed the allegiance of his cruellest ally, twisted descendent of the Black Númenóreans, Agandaûr. Now this corrupted sorcerer plots an attack to strike down Rivendell, and join the forces of Sauron in their assault on Rohan and Gondor.

Man, I was hoping for another RTS to replace BME2, instead it looks like we're getting Conquest with a winter theme. :\ Either way, not EA, so that makes me happy.  |

WB hasn't had the greatest record with the franchises they have aquired from other companies, but hopefully this will be a pleasant surprise. LOTR:BME2 is still the best LOTR games in my book, even with the servers closed down.  |

| me too. I bought Conquest brand new... still haven't unwrapped it.. and can only get 660 gs in it. A bummer for sure, but unobtainables dont push me away. |
