The mannequins has to be the scariest part because some of them aren't really mannequins!

When you drop into the burnt out library and those wierd crawly creatures are dodging through the shelves and knocking things over. That whole section left me with a very creepy feeling. Brrrrrr!

Mannequins, the locker part where he grabs you, and the random girl from "The Ring" that pops out of a cabinet.

I may rent this game and play it again just to experience all over again.
TheSpiderHam666 - It's funny how I can get passed from Live support to Windows support to Microsoft support and they are allfuckinguseless

That creepy bitch that jumps out of a cabinet at you! I was just going to open it and then she just leaps out at you- I caved her head in with a pipe.

There were several moments that stuck out to me that could potentially be called the "scariest," but for different and equally valid reasons:

- Obviously (as seems to be a general consensus on this thread) the area where you go into black and white vision, with the mannequin statues "following" you the whole time. The hair on the back of my neck stood on end throughout that entire part.

- The best "jump-out-of-your-seat" moment goes hands-down when doing the close-up shot of the armless (and supposedly lifeless) teacher in the locker room at the school, only to have him suddenly move and grab you. For a guy who's a big horror film fan, I'm surprised I didn't see that coming, and I paid for it.

- Finally, the creepiest/scariest areas that had the perfect atmosphere to me were the burnt and charred portions of the library (especially after you drop down into it and have that very creepy black-and-white vision whilw waiting for Rosa), and the basement of the farmhouse when you play through it the first time and don't know where the clue is (nothing like a deathly-quiet and poorly-lit basement in a house with a bunch of anemic creepers stalking you in the dark, having to use your UV light to find a clue while also keeping on-guard for an attack).
