Pillaging in Port Royal
After crashing his pirate's ship into the jetty in Wednesday's trailer, screenshots have appeared documenting the escapades of Captain Jack Sparrow and his ship mates in Port Royal.

Port Royal is just one of the environments that players will be able to explore during the games 20+ levels, and players will be able to control over 70 different characters. As is usual in the Lego games, the two-player cooperative mode will be returning, as will the freeplay mode.
LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean is due to be released in May 2011. |

| Environments look really good. But I've kinda gotten bored with the LEGO games. It's just the same thing but with different characters. |

I can understand how some people have no interest in these games. A lot of the enjoyment of these games comes from enjoying the film they are related to as well though. |

| I prefered the lego games when it was all lego, not lego characters in a realistic environment. |

| Lego games are now met with a big, fat "Meh" from me now. This is a series that needs some SERIOUS innovation. |

| The LEGO games are relaxing and great for local coop (even if the way achievements focus on single-player spoils this a bit). Personally I look forward to Clone Wars instead. |

| I played through LEGO Indiana Jones and LEGO Batman and, as a completionist, it killed me having to play through every level twice to get all the hidden stuff. That meant 36 total levels (18 levels, each twice) for LEGO Indiana Jones and 60 (!) levels for LEGO Batman (15 levels, each twice, as heroes and then as villains). Both games were fun but I'm never playing another LEGO game that requires the same sort of grind to complete. |
