Is there still life on Mars?
THQ and Volition have finally announced a solid release date for Red Faction: Armageddon, hitting Earth's store shelves on May 31st in North America and June 3rd worldwide.
Check our previous posts for gameplay trailers and screenshots for the game. Quoted below is a brief synopsis of the game, taken from the press release:
As destruction expert Darius Mason, your journey will take you from the frozen poles to the molten core of Mars as you wage war against the Red Faction's greatest enemy yet. Built on the groundbreaking Geo-Mod 2.0 destruction engine, players can take advantage of total environmental destruction, collapsing huge Martian structures on their enemies. Rebuild all that you destroy with the Nano-Forge's incredible repair ability, creating new gameplay scenarios never before possible.The previously announced XBLA tie-in Red Factions: Battlegrounds is set to release sometime before the retail game, but a date for it has not yet been confirmed. |

I've been playing since Red Faction pc beta, played Red Faction 2 (thought it was alright, but nonetheless fun), and was stoked for Guerilla, enjoyed it when I snagged it. I hope the fourth one is going to be great.
