Hello everyone. I wanted to create this thread to help ease some of the issues you may have with Dragon Age 2. If it stems from the demo or from the videos you've seen about it.
A lot of people have been worried and some have been infantile to just up and cancel their pre-order. Without even as much as reading what had been written a few posts above their's.
First known major issue from people. - Auto-attack or no Auto-attack that is the question.
Well certainly, it's annoying to some and fun for others. Don't worry though, it's been confirmed by BioWare that you get the choice. Go into your options < gameplay < auto-attack toggle. You just can't change it on the demo as the demo was crafted almost 5-6 months ago. (Before the implication of the toggle.)
The other problem some people have been having, or so I'm guessing. Is the continuity of Flemeth and the darkspawn. Flemeth is a shape-shifter, that's simple enough. The Darkspawn though, well it might be spoilers to drop that. I just wouldn't foresee them as being around the whole time. I could be wrong though. |

I haven't heard or problems with Flemeth but since I think the demo takes place just after fall of Ostegar in DA:O I'm not sure what continuity problems there are. DA 2 starts just after the start of DA:O (although I understand the majority of the game takes place after the conclusion of DA:O).
FWIW, some of that demo has been around a long time. The first time you play through has been set up since ComicCon which was July of last year. (That's also why you have Cassandra with white and black hair, I think. It was white in the original demo I played).
I'm not convinced they did themselves any favors with the way the demo is arranged. There's a significant amount of time between the arrival in Kirkwall and when you meet up with Isabella, for example, but if you don't know that there's actual story and gameplay missing it just feels very disjointed.
Personally I'm somewhat concerned that persuade/coerce may no longer be actual skills since I couldn't seem to find anything that relates to them in the skill tree or ability descriptions but we'll see. I suspect the actual game is much more polished than the demo. |

The Flemeth portion was from the conversation on the Dragon Age Demo thread, in the news. I just figured majority of people aren't going to read through 7 pages to see what I had posted. Even though it would be helpful.
I've been reading almost every bit of info I can get on this game, and I'm stoked. |
