Hey there! I'm DrCanadianNinja and I'll be writing out the walkthrough for Alpha Protocol. My goal is a simple one - I want to write a walkthrough that, with a few well-placed saves, will grant a majority of the achievements in 2 playthroughs.
Now, Alpha Protocol is notorious for having achievements with obscure requirements, so I'll be playing through the game and testing my ideas out; nothing's making it to the walkthrough until I know through personal experience that it works. Will it take a bit longer? Oh yeah. Will it be worth it? Ohhhh yeah.
Anyway, if anyone happens to read this, hi! Welcome aboard, and I'll try to keep things up to speed. |

| Rough draft of the walkthrough has been written. I plan to use it myself to be absolutely sure it works before publishing it. |

I have followed the instructions in the Crime Buster playthrough to the letter yet I still haven't gotten the "One with the Shadows" cheevo. Mina said there were no reports of a problem after the Bug the airfield mission and only had one kill and no yellow arrows. I never got a yellow arrow on the Nasri mission but it is possible that I took the guards at the end out too quickly to notice. I did exactly as the walkthrough said even killing the 4 enemies in the CIA listening post and never had a yellow arrow. I just finished the G22 warehouse and never had a yellow arrow and 0 kills and Albatross even said "you can be quite silent when need be" which I do believe is the stealth indicator. That is three if not four missions. So what is my issue here? Any help would be appreciated. I do intend to do the save before the Prevent Surkov's Escape mission. If that doesn't work then I really am at a loss.
EDIT: So I will be the first to admit that my post was premature I did the Prevent Surkov's Escape mission and it popped immediately.
With that said great guide thanks so much!!!! |

First, I wish I had seen this earlier than "three weeks ago," sorry about that! And for others coming with the same question, I really don't have a definitive answer for One With The Shadows; when I did it, I had to do all five as well before it popped.
One idea I just came up with is that the achievement only pops when all five stealth missions are done, and if you met the requirements it pops then. That's the only thing I can think of. |

| Is 30-40 hours an accurate estimate on the time it takes to complete Alpha Protocol? |

I admit that was a bit of a guesstimate on my part. By the time I had nailed down a process that worked, I was getting through the game in about ten hours, and I play a rather conservative stealth game. I figure 12-15 hours on the first playthrough for getting used to the game and doing most of the miscellaneous achievements, 5 hours for the halfway save to just make different choices but play the same way, 10 hours for the hard mode run, then a 5 hour wiggle room if some achievements (*coughOne With The Shadows*) are giving trouble or need that easy mode veteran file.
Short version, writing all that out, perhaps it should be 25-35. |

Be Suave with Mina when she arrives and use Dossier info on her when applicable.
When she confesses, be Suave, then go for the kiss.
When you choose Suave after she confesses you only have two options: Suave again and tell here to Get Out or choose professional and this will open a new option to Kiss here. So it should be Suave until Dossier info, then Suave, Professional and Kiss.
Good job on the entire walkthrough. It's very well written and a big help with all those missable achievements |

| Huh. I know there's multiple paths to the kiss, maybe I dropped the ball leading up to that one. Either way, thanks for the feedback! |

Very small but important change, page 4 above Respected Enemies: "In the conversation with Marburg, choose Aggressive (Angry) then switch back to Professional. There is a fight with Marburg, but because of your good reputation and dossier info, you will unlock an extra anchievement."
The option to choose is Anger, not Angry, Angry comes up later in the conversation, if you choose Angry Marburg escapes and you don't get the achievement. |
