Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil CODE Veronica X
To celebrate Resident Evil's 15th anniversary, Capcom has confirmed that both Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X are being remastered with 720p graphics for the Xbox 360. Both will be released as downloadable titles on XBLA.
Resident Evil CODE: Veronica was first released on the Dreamcast back in 2000, but was then re-released as CODE: Veronica X on the Playstation 2, Gamecube, and the Dreamcast (limited release in Japan).
The year is 1998, three months since the total destruction of Raccoon City and Claire Redfield is still in search of her missing brother Chris. While investigating an Umbrella facility in Paris, Claire is captured and transported to the remote Rockfort Island, where she awaits her death.
Then an inexplicable air raid hits the island, and though this frees Claire, it also accidentally releases t-virus samples and B.O.W.s, which thrust Claire back into the world of survival horror once again. Claire teams up with a fellow inmate Steve Burnside, but insane island commander Alfred Ashford and his evil sister Alexia set their sights on ending the duo with their sick and demented games.http://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/004205.jpg
Resident Evil 4 was initially released on the Gamecube, but was later ported to the Playstation 2, PC and Wii platforms. The extra content that came with later ports, Ada Wong's "The Another Order" scenario, will be included in the XBLA version.
As Leon Kennedy, players will explore a town overrun by cultists, mutants and mind-controlled villagers as they unravel the mystery of Resident Evil 4. Also, this release will contain all the bonus content available in previous versions of Resident Evil 4, including the Separate Ways epilogue.http://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/004206.jpg
The HD remakes will be released in Japan as Biohazard Revival Selection HD Remastered. Capcom has released some screenshots comparing the old standard definition graphics alongside the new HD graphics:

A price has not been announced for either, but they are both scheduled for release this Autumn.
Thanks to the many members of the community who suggested this story! |

What source says they will be XBLA? IGN says they will be bundled for PS3 and XBox 360, but no where as downloadable games.

This leads me to believe that they will be on discs. |

Hell yes! Two excellent RE games looking even better than before. Will definitely be grabbing these. :D
(I wonder if Code Veronica will actually be fixed for once, or if you'll still have to shoot -away- from enemies to hit them. . . ) |

| I've already got 4 on the Wii, and the 360 controller isn't going to beat that. Still, though, achievements will provide it the edge, I expect. Code Veronica, got a copy of that but HD version? Yes please. |

| Resident Evil 4 was so cool! Can't wait for this. I wish they would release a 360 version of Stranger's Wrath. That is one I have always regretted not being 360 compatible. |

States that it will be disk in JP and XBLA for NA
Which just means that Capcom will sell it via XBLA then screw everyone and release it via disk.
I am not going to pick it up via download, so hopefully it will come via disk down the road. |

Also, here's a post on the Capcom Unity blog, which is also an official Capcom site.
We tend to wait for official confirmation before posting our news, so our source is almost always directly from the developer or publisher, unless otherwise specified. |
