Doesn't make a difference. Xbox games didn't work on Xbox360 and they still shut down the servers. Well, actually they did until backward compatibility was removed.

I downloaded the NCAA 13 early release last year. 7GB. I know I was in WY, but know how long it took? 30 hours. It was a 3-day early release. 30 friggin hours.
So the time that the period begins is important, especially if the assumption is that you can play during download.
The cloud won't work for everyone. The infrastructure can't handle it for everyone. I've been screaming into the abyss about this.

I really do not like that they want us to play apps and certain things for achievements. It worked well on X360 and now they just want it to be lame marketing crap.

This discourages me from making the jump, this is after a 150 game backlog and that's stuff with easy achievements that I currently own.

My reading the the major nelson posts is that you can only INSTALL to one xbox. Any others will need the disc to start.
I thought it said you could install it to as many as you want, but you'll need to buy a new key for any but the original installation.
They have basically gone down the PC gaming route, so the game code will be assigned to your profile. Can see why EA ditched online passes now..

I agree with Rhy. Sounds like your friends can play it on your system, you can even take it to their house but only you can play it.
Essentially discs will become XBLA games. It's the old PC one-time-code deal. Oh yeah, and they can revoke your license at any time.

Also, if someone borrows your game, they have the option to install it and pay for it. If not they will have limited access, basically a time-limited demo.

There are two endings, and both assume that 2033 ended in a particular way from the beginning.

When they made the first, they were to expecting to make a sequel. With a sequel, they chose one direction and built the story around it.
Name one game that took an integral part of the previous game's ending branching in the sequel. It hasn't been done yet.
What you'd be asking for would be two parallel games. It would be impossible to take both of those endings into consideration as a basis for LL.

Probably the same people who put up Far Cry 3 as a sand box game sometimes this site is just a bit wonky.
It has sandbox element... but as far as it goes the main core is shooting. So I'd call it a Sandbox FPS.
I haven't tried Blood Dragon, but there does seem to be more games these days that are on the lines. Far Cry 2 is shooter fps on here
But one game I really find similar to Far Cry 3 is Just Cause 2 which is considered action adventure - sandbox
I think kind of got it right because Just Cause 2 should be in the same Category as Far Cry 3. Other games I likened to Far Cry 3 was Infamous and Saint's Row, both Sand
I am not talking content, but the structure really feels similar. Another game similar is Red Dead Redemption, also considered sandbox.
FC3 and JC2 are so different and there is no similarities. You have a massive amount of approaches to everything and multiple transports inc. heli and jets.
FC3 focuses on shooter mechanics rather then other mechanics like JC2, SR, GTA and Red G does.
Felt similar to me. I could play mini games, do random missions, take territories as I saw fit, could take them by air, stealth, on a vehicle with a machine gun, bombs
go anywhere on the map(even less barriers then RDR), there was plenty of activities, you even can pick flowers and hunt like in rdr
not as comprehensive vehicle selection as JC2 but that didn't make RDR an non sandbox game. The format seems really similar, if it was 3rd person would you call it sand?
No seeing as the shooter mechanic are its core not the open world. And just like racers are open world so can FPS be.

I don't see the issue. Ranger was DLC in the original, and you can still get the DLC with retail purchases.
Also...EA *is* that shitty. The preorder BF3 shipped with DLC that was removed, and then made us pay for it later.
Return to Karkand and the original Metro charged more, too. This one is only 400. BF3 was 1200.
No one had an issue with BF3 doing it. I don't see why they have an issue with Metro offering the preorder for 400, when you can still get it in new copies.
EA never claimed BTK was "The way our game is meant to be played". Making a difficulty setting dlc is the lowest anyone has gone yet IMO.
As for original, are you certain? I got it through steam but it wasn't dlc there.
Any publisher will say "this is how it's MEANT to be played" as a marketing gimmick. But yes, Ranger mode was DLC. It's only 240 now, but I think it was higher before.

It would be cheaper than changing original code, but MS doesn't do anything for free, EA would have to negotiate with MS for MS to lose their share of thousands of DL's

I'm pretty sure EA's Online Passes are tied to your EA Origin Account & not your Gamertag. So couldn't they just modify everyone's Origin profiles?
Basically apply EVERY EA Online Pass to EVERY Origin account. I know that seems like a lot of work but they could just run a script that will do it for them.
