The guide is very informative. It's played in multiplayer with score goal set to 100M and 100% score reset penalty.
You have unlimited balls so anytime you have more than 5M just drain your ball (ha ha) and your score is now 0.
You can set up a multiplayer game with another console. The table goals (described in the guide) are pretty easy and you've got unlimited balls to get them.
Pro tip: Set the Music Volume to zero in the Options or you will have thoughts of suicide.

i got that "unobtainable" achievement a few months ago using the usb method. works fine.
