Hello everyone again, thank you Richard Branson! I am writing this using an iPhone since I never got my dongle from virgin! This meant I have not written my viral games blog! I will do this on Thursday or Friday and am still planning on doing Lego Harry potter!

This week started with me trying to finish off FIFA 12, if u remember last weeks instalment I had just won the online FIFA euro cup. So all I had to do was gain all the mosaic pieces this was a bit of a grind however I eventually achieved it and FIFA 12 was finally complete! It had taken a few months but was an amazing game and only the long Grundy achievements were a drag!

After this completion and with no new games set up to play I had some time off to watch the euros and for my last week of UNI for the summer! However this didn't last long and I was quickly back on DIRT to finish the rally championships. On top of this I won a race on manual transmission, this leaves me with the grind of miles raced to complete the game I am still weighing up if I have the energy for this and it may be sent on before I have finished!

I have completed joy rides champship mode and have been slowly collecting trophies and car parts in the stunt parks, my Gf seems to be happy still doing this so I am doing this with her slowly and makes the grind easier to stomach! I will def get this 100%ed but no time soon!

I then booted up gears out of boredom and decided to play the beast mode since I haven't played it before with a lot of help I completed the 12 waves was the most fun I have had playing gears so I played it another couple of times and have just killed with all the locusts. This made me go back to horse mode again with help got to level 25 and then died although this unlocked 2 cheevos one for horde and one for reaching lvl 10. Seeing as I am now level 14 I will get the lvl 15 cheevo and the kill 10 people but don't know how much more I will get! It's not a game I enjoy and not a story I care about! If anyone does enjoy this and either wants to show me I am wrong or win some cheevos hit me up!

Then I moved on to super street fighter I played and lost 5 online matches to get a cheevo! Victorious and scence it followed and 5 cheevos there both games I want to finish and then donate! Scene it is a slow burn I really need to get a cheat sheet and then bang it out! Victorious is classic Kinect boring and broken but I am getting there and most cheevos are about to come!
I also went back to Lego batman I had the hostages and miniskirts to find so I went through and got all the hostages! This unlocked the chance to buy the last villain so two cheevos! This got my up for finishing this and donating it so 4 levels minikits now found and I am going to try and do 4 a day to complete it in 2 weeks we will see if I stick to it!

That brings me up to today were I was involved in a gaming session for rainbow six! I banged out six cheevos and am getting closer to completing it however what I feel will hold me back is the not having an Xbox vision camera and would be annoyed by having that left but would prob be more annoyed with buying it just for this cheevo!

First off let me apologise for this blog it has been written using an iPhone since my Dongal is broken so this may be littered with spelling mistakes and words changed for no good reason!

Going to start with my FIFA week! Been trading players in ultimate team for the 85 mill cheevo having got it for moronicow he returned the favour and I have now got the full retail 1k! Thank god I never have to touch ultimate team it is a stupid money grab and will. E happy to go back to career mode! On top of this have been playing a lot of euro 2012 trying to finish off the cheevo list! On the expedition I have finally beaten each team once and am up to 137 mosaic pieces not far off 180 now! Also . had the online cup! After saying how Gd spain were I got fed up with losing 4 semi finals in a row I swapped to France I enjoyed playing with them and after two semi final defeats one last minute defeat and one on pens I started another tourney with high hope! It started with a group game v England although it was a tough game I prevailed 3-1 with a benzema double and a ribery strike! On to Germany this player was not the best 3 up at half time and a 5-2 victory going into the final game against itlay benzema scored After 11 mins after sustained pressure and a rage quit gave me a 3-0 win and a perfect group finish my reward was a quarter final meeting with Portugal at half time a valbuena double had me 2-1 up in the second half a rami header and nasri strike gave me a 4-2 win and a semi final game against Russia! This player was amazing and I defended most of the game but with ribery countering I created chance one of which benzema scored then just before half time kershakov ran into the box medals put some pressure on and the ref pointed to the spot this was Cooley dispatched! Second half two breaks from ribery set another two up for benzema in between arshavin scored but 3-2 win and another final! I worried about how close this would be put I need not have worried 3 from benzema 1 ribery mexas rami M'villa and valbuena gave me an incredible 8-1 victory and I was FIFA online champ and only 1 cheevo away from full FIFA completion!

I also finish off what I could in NHL 07 won't say much about it to save it for a viral games blog post but just to say this game is easy so go sign up! FInally finished dirt career mode and also won the European and international rally modes! On top of this wtbuffs has helped me to win all the online cheevos only got the grind ones to go we will see if I have motavation for this I just don't know? My other racing fun this week has been joy ride I am just playing it with my Gf so it is going slower than I would like however got all the car parts on the races and completed 50 time trial laps to push me up to 80 g prob finish the championship this weekend! Still having a lot of fun with this game and recommend it to anyone who wants a kart game! Also the slow burn of vegas 2 I got 100 kills with the shotgun this week and on to the sniper rifle which is just crap on this game! Please can someone tell me why people just run around and move quickly side to side looks silly but for some reason the game rewards this and punishes people using cover and trying to actually play properly once I have to sniper rifle it will be the pistol the. Boosting session for the miscellaneous cheevos!

Outside of gaming been enjoying to pursuits the first is enjoying the feast of football that has been the euros every game has been enjoyable (bar England France which was dire) and some new players I have not seen play let's hope Ukraine and Poland can both get through! Has a Milan fan (Motherwell are my real team but always loved Milan too) loved seeing shevchenko score! Also finally finished watching life on mars and ashes to ashes with the misses! I had seen life on mars at the time but not ashes to ashes and I just have to say wow everyone should watch it just wonderful tele up there with the best!

This week’s Viral games blog is going to focus on the Triple A rated title Jumper: Griffins tale! It is based on a 2008 film that was an unqualified success that made a star of Hayden Christian. The film was based around “jumpers” who could jump anywhere in the world by thinking about it (or some such) awfully like the amazing night crawler from the X-men franchise they are fighting Paladins who want to stop them using special nets for some reason or another. In the game you play a side character called Griffin who hunts down and kills paladin as his is want. Last week I was very positive about a game that although it is not great is a game that I love and I feel people should play because you may love it as well. However this game is a game I am not going to be positive about we have all played games for points that we may not have played without it but this is defiantly a game only to play for points if you don’t care about points steer clear, you have been warned!

This was released in 2008 but looks far more like it was made in the early 1850s. The graphics are so dated it is stunning to me that this was released onto the Xbox 360. It was also released on to the WII and PlayStation 2 and must have looked poor even on these systems. Although saying that I used to play games that looked like this:



So graphics would not be so bad if the game plays well and you quickly forgot about this and get immersed in the story and gameplay! Unfortunately this game plays as bad as it looks or maybe worse. The combat uses the face buttons and you press them to attack, you press Y to attack the opponent from behind A from the front and you guessed it X and B from the sides. So far so simple, however this changes depending on the way your facing. Warning the next part will not make any sense! If the enemy is facing away from you Y will attack his front however if your side on Y attacks the side furthest away. However the guys can block randomly in different directions seen by a red moving marker, so in a game were your moving around the screen quickly with many different enemies it is easy to get confused and get a beating. I do not know why the developers didn’t just stick the buttons onto a postion so Y always attack the enemies back no matter your or his direction but never mind! The most positive thing in combat is the drop zones these are the finishing moves were you “jump” people into horrible situations like on top of a volcano about to erupt or a nuclear reactor. You have a number of these to get in each level but you will randomly get these while playing each level. There as an achievement for getting all of these however this is glitched and to you need to get all of them in one play through and then get one at the beginning of your next.

You take a whirl wind around the world tour starting off in the coliseum were you fight some easy enemies and pick up a couple of collectables (more on these later). You then move on to Nepal when you actually have difficult enemies and in the last arena you get a lot of enemies so you should get through this with a couple of goes. It then moves to Tokyo were you once again kill people in the same way. You move on to a small underground house (looks like and Egyptian pyramid in America that people live in?) You will not really notice any of these places since they are so badly realised you won’t really care. I got to fight Samuel L Jackson in this level. You have to beat an ever increasing amount of enemies with no save and the Samuel you can’t really make more than two or three mistakes during this fight or he will hammer you. This is where I gave up I think I have played this section cut scene and all 20-25 times and have finally given up and will be sending this out. Although saying this I got 600gs and bar the attempts this took me 2 hours so if you can figure it out it will be really easy to do.

But since you need to take 2 play through to get all the achievements so you should be able to get this by dash boarding. On top of this you have collectables weapons and comic books there are only a couple each levels and I had collected all the ones I could up until the point I gave up so you should be able to gain this as well if you can get to grips with the combat system. That is probably my main point if you can get to the combat system you will get 1k with very little effort. You won’t enjoy your time but you will get the Gamerscore if you can’t get it this will probably be one of the worst games you have ever played. This is certainly what I thought of this game and it is the worst game I have played on this system and certainly the top ten I have ever had the misfortune to play!

Now the big news for viral games. We have a new player signing up for viral games called Mr Buckmarley155 he has donated the Udraw tablet on top of this the three games Ubisoft made for this machine. Marvel Super Hero Squad Comic Combat, Udraw Studio instant Artist and Pictionary- Ultimate Edition. Due to the size of this tablet and the extra games this may cost slightly more to ship and obviously you would need to cover this. Also due to the expense that has been donated by Buckmarley155 gamers would need to have already signed up and donated a game or received and sent on another gamer all of you signed up at the moment are perfectly ok to sign up! So get going and getting Viral points.

Hi Everyone this is back to my weekly blog about what I am up to and how I am thinking. Going to be a bit about my gaming and my opinion on E3. I have to say to begin with that this is my opinion and so therefore am not possible truth and if you disagree please comment and say so interesting to hear your views.

I began the week essentially the way I ended it by playing FIFA Euro 2012. It is a lot of fun and my team is slowly getting better I have 66 of the mosaic pieces (out of 180). I think using the old catchphrase saying of saying what I see I can guess what it is but will be interesting to see if I am right. I have also taken part in about 5 tries at the Online euro 2012 after trying with Germany, Italy and England (don’t judge me!) I have settled on Spain, Although I tweak the make up slightly with Xavi replacing Sergio Busquets (SP) in Defensive midfield Iniesta playing behind Torres and Silva and Pedro out wide, in a 4-3-3(2). One player I have never played with in FIFA but is very classy (also in my expedition team) is Jordi Alba of Valencia very good on the ball and very quick which helps sweeping up mess at the back. I won’t go through all my miss adventures in this mode but I have been to the final 3 times one game I was playing Belgium and the player went two nil up in the first half and was a lot better than me. However Torres pick up a good long ball went round keeper and slammed it home then a last minute Pique header took extra time! I defended for my life throughout this time! And as the time ticked on to 120 minutes (the end) I thought I had penalties but a cross field ball was slammed past Casilies (SP?) by Lakaku to give him a win. He deserved it but I was so gutted at the time!

My sport game Binge has also come from NHL07 on of the first edition EA games with super easy cheevos. This one is no different 3 games against a human + shootout + 1 simmed season= 775g. If you haven’t got this and are in UK sign up for it on viral games.

On top of this I have been slowly boosting Rainbow Six and Dirt. Dirt has slowed right down for me since I bought Joy ride turbo. It is (I am sure your all aware) a kart game. I only got it since me and my GF used to have a lot of fun playing Mario kart together on the WII, Now first of all it is not Mario Kart nothing is but it is the closest I have ever seen to Mario Kart. And until the failure of the Wii U and Nintendo’s back catalogue appearing on the XBLA (we can but dream) we will have to make do with this. You have a variety of weapons at your disposal and you can collect parts and money to have new cars. Only really being playing this intermittently with my GF but has been a lot of fun and do hope to get all 200. And if you’re a big Mario Kart I would say go for it!

Talking of Wii U, weak link, you may have seen some talk of E3 over the last week. It has been everywhere and most everyone has given there 2 cents on it. The conscious seems to be that Microsoft was poor but so was everyone else. I have to agree with that the "killer apps" seem to be Halo 4 and Gears 4. Seriously does anyone still want to be involved in these worlds? Both seems to be aliens come and want to destroy everything for some reason then a super human kills them and then they start exploding and are like zombie "flood" and "lambent" and then he kills them and that’s it no character development no story no interest. Look at the criminally underrated Deus ex if you want to play a shooter with a bit more brains. On top of this Fifa 13 details were released at it looks identical to Fifa 12 but as much as I moan I will own that game....

Although for me the real highlight was South Park. Starting with matt and Trey and the funniest line. Have you ever watch South park and thought you wanted to use your mobile device (btw does anyone outside of technology expos use this phrase) while connected to your oven inside your fridge! Next year I can really see Xbox fridge with Facebook and Zune attached......

Back to the game "The stick of Truth" it looks perfectly like the show both in the "crap" visuals and the humour. I must make a confession I think I have seen all South Park episodes at least once and find them so funny and even the weaker south parks I love. Although saying that the last time I played a South Park game was the amazing N64 version so I will buy this day one and am looking forward to it.

I have read many articles that say this is the last throws of this generation and that is why there are not many amazing games. However I just don’t agree although the death of gaming is going too far I think games developers are just being lazy with sequel after sequel and very little in the way of new IPS. They are also falling into a lazy trap of making a half decent MP and thinking that is the same as a single player campaign that is interesting and story driven. The first two games on Xbox 720 will be Halo 5: let’s kill some covenant and look like I am dead again..... And also COD: BLOPS3 Bad guys shot oh now you’re another character BAD GUYS.......

This is going to be my first blog based around one of the games available on this xbox life forums. If you have not seen it go check it out and maybe sign up for some games.

These blogs are going to be an attempt to increase sign ups and put a spotlight on a wonderful service and a great bunch of gamers.

I am going to start with, you may have guessed, Dynasty Warriors 5: Empires (or DWE5) It is a great little hack and slash game and part of a legendary series of games that started in 1997. They are a huge hit in japan and with some western gamers although IMO deserves a much wider audience. In DW you play a legendary general based loosely around China during the Three Kingdoms legends. Think Camelot but a lot cooler and in China. If you want more context or this game has interested you try the wonderful Red Cliff film a real return to form from John Woo that is set during this period. These legendary generals take to the battlefield and with a touch of the X button kill 500-600 people a battle while running around the battlefield capturing strategic points to keep your supply lines in tacked killing hundreds of warriors. On top of this you control your faction on a map of china having to invade the rest of the regions taking over the whole map until you are ruler.

There are six scenarios that must be completed but for all intense and purposes these are the same. However there are special stages tied to all of these apart from Gathering of heroes. I am not going to go into how to unlock these since there are great guides on TA and it would be 400-500 words of nonsense. Clearing all of these will net you 480 achievement points. If you select Novice difficulty you will have no difficulty at all for a bit more of a challenge select normal were you have to make sure you don’t become to isolated or you will be picked off. This really should take no more than 5 hours then the small grind for the last achievements.

The rest of the 1k comes from unlocking officers you do this by hiring them during the scenarios, either by capturing them during battles or by hiring those who don’t have masters. If i was you i would hire as many as you get the opportunity to while doing the scenarios leaving gathering of heroes alone till the end. I had about 50 officers out of 250 left and only 5 of these achievements all worth 20g each when i first beat gathering of heroes. Gathering of heroes is a mode with all the generals available to hire, since all of them do not appear in the same historical timeframe of the other scenarios. This allows you to mop up all the remaining generals. The last 5-10 will need you to make special items the only problem is that you have no idea what you have to do so just keep making everything you can on each turn. If on this mode you conquer all of china bar one province and then save it. you will then be able to hire all officers available. This is a bit random and grindy so could take an hour or four depending on your luck although should only be two hours.

That will be your 1k in about 5-10 hours and very easily obtainable. This game was donated by yours truly and has so far be completed by eliphelet77 and is currently in the hands of funkeymonkey who has so far got 60g from it so hopefully he will finish it and send it on to whoever has signed up for it.
