Day 133: Katmai Doesn't Have Any Shadows
Day 1 of FIFA Detox was a success. I got back from school and played around 3 hours of Cabela's Survival of Katmai and I have to say it was pretty easy to beat the game. In fact, I beat it in around 2 hours. Some quick clean up and I am already at 690. I see myself getting atleast one more achievement (hopefully tomorrow) and then mailing it back to Gamefly. I think this was the perfect game to get myself back into the gamerscore fever.
If you don't care about completion, this one is an interesting pick up. Even on hard the game is super simple, and really quick. It is pretty boring, but controlling a super human in regards to jump distance and strength isn't all that bad.
I ran into only one problem with the game and that was jumping. For some reason if you get attacked by birds in this one area, then you automatically start moving back towards were you came on this ledge, and by the time you get back to where you needed to be, the birds had killed you. I find that interesting that birds could kill you while hanging on a ledge, but these squences would have been a lot easier had I known you can shoot the birds, which seems to help tremendously when my guy doesn't want to jump to the next ledge properly.
I am pretty boring after that. I have fallen alseep not once, not twice, but three times + trying to write this blog,so if today's blog doesn't make sense I am sorry.
Enjoy!

Day 132: I'm Floored
So, a day of mostly gaming (even though I should have been studying) turned out some points for a change. I decided to play some Ghost Recon and finish off the campaign to net myself 160 points. Something that I haven't seen in a few days.
I found the last two levels to be pretty difficult, and the very last part was kind of ridiculous, but you just had to be good on the run. I am up for co-op, those guerrilla missions, and multiplayer but someone will need to drag me through them. So if your game I might be.
While recording I tried to knock out as many games as I could of FIFA in attempt to get this last achievement I need. Of course, it didn't unlock and I am toying with a "FIFA detox" for this entire week, and I will pick it back up when we record episode 98. I really want that achievement, but at what cost? I could have burned through these Gamefly games and others I have laying around, but instead I am sinking 24 hours into a 15 point achievement that I might not ever get...
During recording Microsoft announced their new tablet called Surface. It is pretty awesome, and I am really looking forward to playing around with one. There are two models, one is the main stream tablet which will release with Windows 8, and the other will have Windows 8 pro, and be as powerful as current day notebooks and release a few months later.
Of course Microsoft didn't comment on pricing or specific release dates, but they said the ARM based tablet would be around the price of other tablets, and the Pro tablet would be priced at an ultrabook. I said on the show that I would pay 700-800 for the Pro tablet, and I am sticking to my guns, but 1000 bucks (what current ultrabooks go for) is pretty outrageous even considering the specs IMO. I mean, don't get me wrong, it is a fantastic specs sheet, but I think that no tablet should be work $999.99. We will see what happens as we move closer to the Windows 8 launch, and who knows, we might know when that is in a few days. Microsoft evidently is planning on another press conference on Wednesday I think.
After posting the show I studied for a bit, but that was pretty much it. After I get off of class I am going to hit the gaming pretty hard for a few hours before work and hopefully get some points out of something. Not sure what I am going to play.
To wrap things up, what do you guys think of the Surface tablet? Will it be the iPad Killer?

Day 131: Sleepy Head
Not much happened today. I played a good amount of FIFA again today, and unveiled my new Ultimate Team player, Xavi, which was pretty exciting.
Still no 15 point achievement for 100 matches. My interest in FUT is waning the more I play it. It is frustrating to me that I have more than 100 matches played with 3 players according to the FUT web app, but no achievement yet. I guess I will just keep starting Pedro, Valdes, and Sanchez in all matches and hope for the best.
After work I had a pretty nice steak dinner with some sauteed baby carrots and for dessert a nice big bowl of ice cream with fudge on it. I then decided to tackle some homework which isn't due till Wednesday.
I have a few problems with this homework so I am going to have to concentrate to get it done. I just couldn't focus thanks to < 8 hours of sleep the last few nights, so I am going to bed early in hopes I will be refreshed enough to go to class, get some points, record, and study for my test on Tuesday in that order.
Anyone have anything we should cover in Episode 97? (it is 97 right? Just checked, it is.
Enjoy

Day 130: Bad Work Day
Something must be going through the water down here because today was a ridiculous day at work. It seemed like every customer had an attitude or just something was wrong, and on top of that, I could do no right.
There is no point in going through every single issue because the blog would be a thesis paper in size to be able to explain all the neccesary back story, so I will quickly talk about FIFA and wrap up.
I have to say I a, getting pretty discouraged with FIFA atm. I worked so hard to get the other 49 achievements in FIFA 12, but this last achievement refusing to unlock is really frustrating me. Pedro is up to 107 and still nothing...
I don't know how much more I can take before I am absolutely done with it. Lets hope it pops soon because I would say I deserve ,
As I type this I am falling in an out of sleep so, you guys have a good one.

Day 129: Should Be Asleep
Achievements make you do some crazy stuff. I spent all my gaming time with FIFA, like a true addict, trying to get this last achievement that seems to not be unlocking for me. Sanchez Valdes have well over 100 matches, and I think it has to do with forfeits. So, my next chance is Pedro who has played 95 games on my squad. So only 5 more games to see if this achievement will unlock there.
Even though it is a 15 point achievement, I would complete FIFA 12, and I can't help but feel that all this work for all the other achievements are lost unless I get this one. Obviously it isn't "completed" thanks to Euro 2012, but that will be just one more thing for me to work on.
I really need to play something different and get some more points this week. I tripled my point output week over week this week, but I still need one more thing to get me back in the groove.
I don't know what to play, but I will probably continue with Madagascar 3 until I drive myself insane with it. Then ill mail it back to Gamefly not completed and I will be done with it forever.
Pretty boring day, pretty boring guy, don't have too much else to share. I did score a pretty sick goal, its on my FIFA file share, but I don't feel like linking it.
Back to Robot Chicken.
Enjoy
