Game Storage
So I have a ton of games.
Not as many as some (Mango, SophJ, FragEm come to mind) but I have a lot.
According to iCollect says I have 668 right now in my collection. That is current generation as I dont catelog my XBox, PS2, SNES. Just to show the breakdown as of now: 502 Xbox 360 games compared to 22 PS3 games. Then the rest are DS and Wii games (mostly 1st Party stuff)
Now being a married man I run into the issue of storage and space. That is undoubtedly a hell of a lot of games to store. My old house we had built in shelves in the basement that I just took over. When we moved I don't have that luxury anymore, so I had to figure something out.
This is a work in progress but I grabbed the idea after I saw the bitching set up either litepink or Omfamna (it might not be and I apologize) since I had some of the tower Ikea shelves for my DVDs I took over one of my walk in closets. Here is my slow WIP:
(Not pictured the box and a half of games not unpacked)
So the way I figure I will go is the Ikea Shelves against the left wall (obviously I will have to get a few more as I ran out of room already) and keep my old shelf under the coat rack area like its pictured in the second one. The color I am not worried about since the white is cheaper by $10 I am grabbing them and not sticking with the wood look, but I am sure some might get a nervous twitch when seeing them not being uniformed but I don't mind since they will be filled.
Once I finally get the set up done I will go into organizing mode. My plan is to keep the Steelbooks together and high (kids love to grab my stuff) then JP games then Kinect games since it can be easy to grab instead of searching for when family and nieces/nephews come over.
It is still a WIP and I need to figure out where to put my other 2 TE arcade sticks and random controllers. I will update when I make progress. Right now its not fun to attempt to find something since everything is so helter skelter...
Tell me your thoughts and how you organize your collections. Or just tell me I can crazy and should take advantage of Best Buys 100% trade in and purge (which I already have with Wii, PS3 and DS games its great and people should go unload before July 7th there its well worth it)

Only in N. VA part Deux
So no blog yesterday. No big deal valid reason for it.
But first the only in N. VA portion:
Went to Jiffy Lube Live (Formerly Nissan Pavilion for anyone who lived in this area but has gotten away). Walk into the bathroom and I am greeted with this:
Hmm why would anyone feel as though this needs to be posted? Well here at Jiffy Lube Live they have 6 bathrooms with roughly 50 urinals in each but this venue is HUGE so people don't want to wait in line and make up their own area to piss. Yesterday was no different and a old man took offense and sucker punched this other extremely drunk guy (sorry the camera shot of that was shit). Who knew that sucker punches are now the norm for Old folks too? I thought he would have challenged him to a duel 20s style bare knuckle boxing style. I was wrong.
So why was I at Jiffy Lube Live? To see the Dave Mathews Band live...again. It was my 10th show of his and this one was really, really good. If you like a good live show then I would highly recommend going to see them live. Even if you hate his music the show is great. Similar to feel like Jimmy Buffet (I hate his music but the show is great). I enjoy good music and atmosphere and these concerts always pays off ten fold. The last time I went to see him it was at Nats Park in DC which was AWFUL. This was because Jiffy Lube LIve thought it would be a good idea to ban tailgating completely for two years. So in response bands just didn't go to that venue any more DMB being one of them. A baseball park is not a good place to see a show since its not all GA you have seats. YUCK
Here is a picture of my view from the show:
Really had a blast .

I <3 My Wife
I get to work and have this box sitting outside my door:
Hmm, odd since I don't remember buying anything from Play-Asia....
So when I open it up I see these lovely things staring up at me:
Very excited. I am still in the dark as to why I got these from her but damn I was excited since not long ago I was bitching (shocker) about the Games on Demand for the RE and how I wasn't going to spend $40 for a non-disk based release even though I really wanted to check them out.
And how last week I pointed out that I really needed to keep my eye on DoDonPachi since it has both Black Label and the v1.5 that are stackable with the EU copy I had. So now I am just counting down the time I can go home and boot up my loud JP console. I really need to get a large USB drive to help fix that issue or a larger HD since I want to load onto the drive to help keep that console running.
Oh and I picked up this:
Because my wife thought it would be hilarious ($44 thanks to Amazon). So yeah very happy man today...tons of stuff to play.
Now I just need to pull myself away from UMvC3
