Ah the great feeling of the first day of summer. Although I didn't have a good sleep (for some reason I woke up at about the time I get up for college, which I barely ever do on a weekend), I was able to easily get the last 2 achievements from NFL 2K6. While Prototype 2 didn't arrive, my 2 rentals did, Skyrim & Cars: Race O Rama. Skyrim I had rented before for a bit last April so I picked up where I left off. Am pretty happy with the 100G I got, especially since I had 165G in the game to start with. I'll try and actually play Lollipop Chainsaw tomorrow, that will be my goal!


One of the many things I have done on a Minecraft server yesterday and today.

So yeah today has been a mix of being a bit grumpy, getting annoyed by my mum and step dad who didn't seem to stop talking all day (:P), playing games and eating, like usual. I've cleared my room a tad, but I think I will probably clear and make things tidier in the cupboards at the one side of my bedroom where quite a lot of my crap is.

And with college finished, I need to think about when/what/where to stream. I might stream a bit of random stuff between now and when I go to my dads on the 8th/9th, but it would be PC stuff since my (epic) TV here doesn't actually have component. Borderlands and Portal 2 I would definitely like to play on the stream (both PC) as well as some Minecraft and some of the good 360 games I have (WET, Prototype (2), Amazing Spiderman if I get it). I've just remembered about this band/song. This song of theirs has always been my favourite over Don't Stop Believing, which I did also like until Glee murdered and decapitated the song. Can't bear to listen to it now.

FINALLY! It is my summer holidays. From now till the middle of September I have no educational based work to worry about (only the odd bit of paperwork I might need for enrolling at Uni).

Mostly played just Minecraft on the PC today, again. Made myself a cool xp farm from a zombie spawner. It's pretty efficient and I'm happy about it. I was going to play some Lollipop Chainsaw but I ended up playing Minecraft for the most part, played some NBA Live and played a bit of NFL 2K6. NBA 2K6 and NHL 2K6 I can't play at the moment because of some PAL-60 thing, so will have to wait on them. NFL 2K6 should easily be finished tomorrow morning, the other will be played again when I have a 2nd controller again.

But yeah, I think you know that I definitely don't have any work to do now, and I am done with college. I'll probably have some nightmares of where I have to go back because of some missing work or something. I really hope this doesn't turn into reality. On the way home I treated myself to some cider which I had in the evening. Not much, but a nice celebratory drink I guess.

The song is from the WET soundtrack. I've had the soundtrack in my iTunes for a couple of years now, it was actually the first video game soundtrack I put on my iPod. I think I will go insane if said nightmare comes true :P.

Quite a bit of racing today. Did the Joyride part of DiRT Showdown (excluding the collectibles, which I really can't be bothered with), did a few more of the Arkham City side missions, mopped up what I realistically will get out of F1 2011 on the PC, and tried to get all the pretty quick and easy achievements on the PC version of F1 2010. Arkham City I'd say I probably won't play any more of. Even though I have some side missions left, all the riddles and New Game+, I have a lot of other games I want to play and get through and I'm happy with what I have got. I can also play the PC version of Arkham City if I want to :P

I spent about 2/3 minutes at college today, which was pretty funny. I got a lift in from my mum who was getting her university degree results (she got the top degree, a first :D), to get this EMA slip signed. Basically EMA is an allowance/grant for college (16-18) where if your parents earn less than a certain amount you can get £20 a week if you attend your lessons. At this stage I only have 1 small bit of work to do, which I will be getting finished off tomorrow morning, so tutors are all ok for just signing it this week since I'm practically done.

I've spent a fair bit on some new games the last couple of days. On Tuesday evening I bought the limited edition of Final Fantasy 13-2 for a good £11/$16 ish. I really only bought it just for the art book and these postcard things, but reading up on it I think I might enjoy a lot more than I did Final Fantasy 13. I might give it another go and try and get past some more of the huge amounts of tutorial chapters, but I'll probably just miss it out. I also bought Lollipop Chainsaw and Prototype 2 today after seeing them both at a low price in 2 different places, so they will be here soon, yay.

This song I think fits because it is basically touching distance until I can completely walk away from this college course passed and be able to enjoy the summer without any worries about work or grades like the last 2 summers (GCSE's in 2010, 2011 I had some assignments to do over summer). When I was a child I used to always listen to chart music, and when I was about 10/11 Green Day were the first band I started to love in that area of music. I guess I haven't looked back (and I'm glad, most chart music is shockingly shit nowadays)

Played DiRT Showdown a fair bit this afternoon. Finished all the Showdown Tour stuff. 8 Ball is baaad.

The couple of hours at college was very boring, basically just had Twitter and Reddit opened.

Not too much gaming wise happened today. I got the last 2 Transformers: DOTM multiplayer achievements I needed. I'm serious when I say the hardest achievement for me in the whole game was dying first in a multiplayer game. Would definitely recommend it to other achievement whores out there. I also played a bit of DiRT Showdown in the evening. I have done nearly all of the 3rd tier except 1 8 ball race and the end of tier race thing. Will get them done tomorrow I guess.

Today at college went a lot better than expected. In the space of a couple of hours the amount of assignments I possibly would have more rework for went down from 5 to just 1, and the 1 I got some rework back my tutor didn't see and mark the full amount of my rework, and she said I didn't get one of the criteria even though she marked on my work that I got it. It is a case for Friday :P.

This afternoon I booked 2 nights at a Travelodge hotel in London for Eurogamer Expo. It is like PAX but for the British folks. I've been to it twice and really enjoyed it. This year I'm going with 1, maybe 2 good real life friends, like I did last year, which will make it a lot more fun. It is funny that 2 1/2 weeks after I get back from my holiday I'm going down to London on what could be classed as a very mini holiday of sorts, if you could call it that.

The song for today is a song from the Binding of Isaac OST. I've started to play Binding of Isaac more on the PC, and it is a really cool game made by 1 half of Team Meat, and the music is by Danny B who has done a lot of really epic music for games.
