DOOM 3 BFG Edition Fail of the decadePermalink
I don't like to rant negatively about games as they are always appreciated by someone in the community. But this morning I was playing Doom 3 trying to beat it on Veteran so I could get most of the hard stuff out of the way before I moved onto nightmare as anyone should normally do when playing a game. I made it all the way to Delta Labs, activated the reactor, killed countless enemies and was smart enough to have two save files going. I usually save one a half hour after one another. Anyways this age old GLITCH from back in 2005 arises from no where. And hey! I love this game so don't knock me on this. I beat it in 2006 once and loved it then too.

I'll explain this glitch everyone should know right here as I explain. Right at the end of the mission I kill the last two enemies and run to the elevator to end the mission and the panel says LOW POWER. So what do I do? I run all the way back to the reactor to find out that it is running and that I activated the computer. I spent nearly 40 minutes searching for some type of panel or a clue as to what to do. At the end I admit I was stumped. So I hit up YouTube to find nothing either than everything I have already done. Then I found countless forums about this being a glitch. Honestly I am beyond furious. The glitch is basically not touching the elevator panel at all before you restore the power. How the **** was I suppose to know? ID and Bethesda have really lost me here? Over 10 years and you ***** couldn't fix one little glitch? Yet you remove the flashlight, you gave us horrible achievements to attain along a massively long gameplay and failed to even produce better graphics than the original xbox version. Not to bash these companies at all but this is a serious piss off for me right now. I have to start the game all over again and play through on veteran so I can avoid touching that elevator switch so I can pass that mission. I don't have time for this as I have a lot of other games to complete by December this year.

Anyone planning on venturing this path please remember this problem and remember to leave one save for the current mission and one for the previous np just in case you are screwed over like this. There is absolutely no way of getting around this unless you can Mod the game to hell. DONT TOUCH THE ELEVATOR SWITCH in the delta labs before you activate the REACTOR! You will always run into this glitch.

I'm going to go to bed now and cry myself to sleep as I dream about how I could have been in that elevator. Jokes

Gamer PicturesPermalink
As a long time xbox gamer I have grown to love games, achievements and gamer pictures. For me gamer score and gamer pictures represent everything about who you are as a gamer. For me the 2007 Bungie Day Gamer picture was my all time favourite that I didn't have the opportunity to grab.

On the xbox one there seems to be no gamer pictures to download. Who thinks companies like bungie should release limited edition gamer pictures again?

List below your all time favourite gamer pictures.

What interests you most about gaming?Permalink
What is it that you ache for the most? A solid 100,000 gamerscore sounds nice, even top leader board rankings in deathmatches would be great. (But where does that get you) when you play a game, what is it that appeals to you the most? Gamerscore? just playing to win? or having all the piles of games in the corner to complain about never having anything to play? I think all of the above apply to my situation. So what's you interest?

Perfect dark zero?Permalink
Just wondering about perfect dark zero. I picked it up for $3 at GameStop. I know what I am in for if I play this game and that is a lot of frustration and disappointment. Perfect dark 64 was as legendary to me as goldeneye 64 was. So playing the sequel to it will kill me inside.
Are the servers for multiplayer still available to get the achievements that seem to only revolve around multiplayer and killing 1000 players? Do you guys think I should just leave this out of the disk tray and not bother? Or should I attempt the single player and forget the multiplayer? Either way I feel like it's not worth the time.

Ps I've played the game through to the 4th mission and I hated it so much I turned it off and deleted the achievement list quickly. There are no achievements for doing anything but beating the game on the hardest difficulties.

First blogPermalink
As of this year I discovered that the highest gamerscore has reached the million mark. (Or slightly over...) So what's to say now? Keep racking up the gamerscore to hold my placement in the world? At this point and time I have give or take 40k. I have been playing for years and spend countless hours ranking up in multiplayer games (Halo, Call Of Duty, Even Skyrim) What is more important to me as a gamer you may ask? A bit of both really. I have played so many titles and barely any you call indie. So what truly makes a gamer? Think about it. In the end it's all about bragging rights. It's tough living a normal life and being a gamer. You are either in, or your out. Your girlfriend, wife, husband or boyfriend will either love you or hate you. As said in the tittle above, this is my first blog post.
