I currently have 622 of the Battle Trophies. Which is a decent start, if I might say so myself.

When I get home from work today, I am going to get my party up to level 255 by attacking Metal Scumbags with exp-farming gear, and then if I have time after that before I retire into bed, go for the BT where Meracle defeats Gabriel Celeste in under ten minutes.

I will post another update next week, but Star Ocean will be my primary game for the time being.

These are the games I own that I do not have achievement completion on. Some of them will remain eternally incomplete. Most of them I plan on finishing eventually.

I think that most of you can agree that I have my gaming work cut out for me.

A few of you may have noticed that I have been unlocking one easy achievement a day for the last couple of weeks. That's because I want to keep a win streak going while I continue my quest to complete Star Ocean TLH. It will be awesome to finally add that completed game to my trophy case.

I also have been working on writing a novel. Which is another timesink. But that has been good for me. It's not something I ever intend to publish, it's more for my own amusement.

I also am working a job that I truly love, and my employer decided to give me more responsibility recently, which is good. I am up for it. This is the perfect place for me to be working at this point in my life. I may only be an administrative assistant, but everybody at that office keeps on telling me that I make their lives a hell of a lot easier than it was before I was hired there, so I guess I'll take those compliments and keep on doing what I have been doing.

I started whoring both Backyard Sports - Rookie Rush and Pac Man and the Ghostly Adventures. Well, I guess there are worse games out there to whore. And both of these will give me the easy daily achievement while I work towards the true prize - which is completing all of those motherfucking Battle Trophies.

My goal of reaching 95% completion in three years becomes less likely, but that's OK. What really matters is that I am more than 3 years clean from my addictions, I have an awesome job, and I am having fun while doing my JRPG grinding. Even if I have to mute the game and put on my Dave Matthews CDs during the hours of repetition, it's still damn good. I will reach that completion percentage eventually, but I'm not doing it for prestige. I'm doing it because unlocking achievements is fun for me. And because I am ridiculously ambitious and I like to aim for the stars. Better to aim for the stars than the gutter, I suppose.

That is going to be my primary game for the time being. I'll continue to unlock one or two easy achievements in other games a day to keep my streak going, but most of my gaming time will be squarely dedicated to Star Ocean TLH for the next few months.

I am finding that following the walkthrough that this site provides makes things SO much easier. I'll actually have a shot at defeating the Ethereal Queen the next time I meet her at this rate. And Faize has killed every Grigori that has crossed his path so far. Not looking forward to completing that battle trophy, but I already have 30,000 kills for Edge and Arumat, along with those two character's 255 item drops. I got Bacchus' item drops by massacring Metal Scumbags for about 20 hours.

I dunno. Usually, when I play a game compulsively, it's because I'm trying to avoid something in my real world situation. I now have 3 years clean in my 12-step program as of a week ago. And I want to retreat into Star Ocean grinding and eventually bringing my completion of ALL the games I started to an average of 95%. What the fuck am I trying to prove at this point, and does it really matter?

Well, I am having a lot of fun, so I guess that's all that counts.

I just finished one of my grinds yesterday - Spartacus Legends.

Now, I am going to have a little vote here to see what my next grind should be. I am going to finish both of these games eventually. As to which one I will finish first, I will leave up to the kind votes of the TA community.

A) Star Ocean TLH
B) Record of Agarest War

Pick one or the other. Whatever gets more votes will be the next epic grind I complete. I have 65% of the BTs in A, and I am halfway through Generation 3 in B (while using the "Perfect Walkthrough" on the Agarest Wiki).

I will continue to lock a few easier achievements a day to keep my win streak going for the time being.

I am glad at least one of my grinds is complete. It gives me more motivation to complete all of my other ones.
