There is no way these ratios are going to stay anywhere close to where they are today. There was actually a day earlier in the week that I had over 7,000 TA score for the month. Yet despite adding another 5-10 achievements, I'll finish the month below that mark. I suspect this month will settle in somewhere south of 5,500.

However they will never be able to take away 221 achievements. I hit overall marks of 100K GS and 5,000 achievements, both of which were goals for the year. I guess whatever I get done in December is just gravy.

I'm excited for these new games. There have been a bunch of good ones coming out some of which I purchased and some of which I've yet to pick up. The Xbox 360 might start collecting dust after I can run through Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel with my wife.

At the same time, I added a ton of un-obtained achievements (thanks Halo) which drove my Xbox One completion percentage down from a high of 92% to a low of 43%. Recovery is going to be a lot of work, but it's also very fertile soil.

100,000 GSPermalink

My 2014 goal was to get to this milestone before the end of the year. This is easily the best goal I've set for myself. Typically I blow past them in under half the target time. This one wasn't exactly down to the wire, but it certainly could have gone differently if I hadn't stayed so consistent in the last three months or so.

We can thank my attitude towards Forza 2 for the loose change at the end. I was not about to put new games on hold in order to grind out level 42+ in that game.

The other wrinkle is created by Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Roughly a week ago I completed Halo 3: Tsavo Highway. The achievement has shown as "Done! Unlocking..." ever since. In fact, I went back and finished the level without getting in a vehicle and under the par time. Those two achievements popped just fine, but this one is still sitting in Limbo. I suspect (and hope) that they will reset some server side things after the next round of fixes and this will unlock retroactively. In that case, I will actually have 100,011 GS as of this moment in time.

Now bring on 200k TA score!

I just became aware of the Destiny Xbox 360 / Xbox One trick to quickly unlock all the achievements up or down a generation from where you originally were playing. As of writing, that will be 810+ GS. Likely more like 860 after I max my Titan and finish the collectibles. Sounds like a Red Box rental is in my future.

Even without this exploit, I need 1200 GS /month over the next two months to get to my goal of 100K. Should be easy with Borderlands The Pre-Sequel and Sunset Overdrive ripe with mid game achievements and Halo MCC and Dragon Age Inquisition on the horizon.

Xbox Games With Gold has been very good to me so far. It's been made even easier by the fact that Microsoft has allowed smaller titles to release with a full 1000 GS on Xbox One even if they have just 400 GS on Xbox 360. Super Time Force was one such release.

I also brought my total game collection up to 100 (Xbox 360 and One). I am starting to really see the attractiveness of digital purchases, but for now I still like having a physical copy I can keep on the shelf and loan out to friends.

I need 1216 GS per month in order to hit 100K GS by the end of 2014. Should be easy to hit that. I think this one is in the bag.
