Dead Island cases actually flies pretty well...Permalink
Hey guys, second blog of 2015 is here. Since my last blog post on the 2nd of January, I've managed to finish two new titles as well as make a dent towards the achievements on my "To Do list".

The two games that have recently been added to my finished pile are...

Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition

Not actually a bad game, but it is really glitchy. Had to do 2 extra play-throughs to mop up achievements that should of unlocked earlier but didn't. The one had me running around to finish a quest I had already done, yet for some reason hadn't counted.

Dead Island Riptide (Xbox 360)AchieverThe Achiever achievement in Dead Island Riptide (Xbox 360) worth 282 pointsFinish all quests in the game

While the other had me do a second PT to finish the game in co-op. However, Despite doing all the levels with a friend in co-op, it insisted I had missed a level. My friend offered to run through all the missions with me again, and about 2 thirds of the way through the game the achievement popped. Massive thanks to Golem24 for sitting through it twice for me.

Dead Island Riptide (Xbox 360)Dream TeamThe Dream Team achievement in Dead Island Riptide (Xbox 360) worth 38 pointsComplete all the main quests cooperatively with any number of partners

Overall, not a bad game. It's a glitchy piece of shit, and the game story and side quests are mostly just filler missions which involve you repeating the same boring actions, but play it with a friend and spice it up as much as you can and it's not too bad of a game.

I will admit that I threw the disc and case out the window once the final achievement popped. Hence the blog title. The case flew rather well, like a shuriken almost.

THE SECOND GAME...

The Wolf Among Us (Xbox 360)

Absolutely amazing game. Comes from the same creators as the Walking Dead game. This game shines just as brightly (if not even brighter in some aspects) as the Walking Dead series. The only reason I gave it 4.5 stars instead of 5, is that a few sequences were a little bit buggy (Bigby stood still when he was clearly supposed to be in combat) and in one of the final scenes, all my hints turned to German. Also, the achievements require a little bit of replay here and there, which isn't bad by any means. I normally replay certain parts to see how the outcome changes. Would of just been nice to be able to unlock all the achievements in one straight run like TWD games allow. Still an amazing story-based game and I would urge anyone to pick it up and try it, especially if they liked the Walking Dead game.

TO DO LIST:

Concerning my "To Do list", I've started making a little progress here and there towards the achievements. For anyone who didn't read my old blog post, my To Do list is filled with achievements over the ratio of 2.0, up to ratios of 11+. This is because my goal for 2015 is to raise my ratio above 1.8 and attempt to get as close to 1.9 as possible before Christmas of 2015. I chose 100 achievements with decent ratios and will be working towards them as the Year goes on.

One of the achievements (And one I am quite proud of myself) is...

BattleBlock TheaterInsane Solo StarThe Insane Solo Star achievement in BattleBlock Theater worth 245 pointsGet a letter grade in every level (except Encores) in insane solo story mode.

A lovely 6.45 ratio (at the time of writing) accompanies this bad boy, and for good reason too. Insane is by no means impossible, but there are parts it does stretch your sanity. The level I recall being a massive bitch to me was definitely 8-4. I breezed through chapter 7 relatively easy, and levels 1,2,3 of Chapter 8. But 8-4 gave me a hell of a time.

Now to work towards the sister achievement ...

BattleBlock TheaterInsane Co-op StarThe Insane Co-op Star achievement in BattleBlock Theater worth 307 pointsGet a letter grade in every level (except Encores) in insane co-op story mode.

Which features a ratio of 8.0. Another nice addition once it has been achieved. The only other achievement within BattleBlock Theater that I need is...

BattleBlock TheaterGlobal TraderThe Global Trader achievement in BattleBlock Theater worth 39 pointsTrade online with ten different players.

I believe I've traded with 5 (possibly only 4) unique people. If there is anyone reading this who wants to trade (I have all weapons and Character heads so you're welcome to Yarn balls or Gems if you want them) then please message me. Even if I get the achievement I will be glad to pass some stuff along.

Concerning my other titles...

https://www.trueachievements.com/Resident-Evil-5/achiev....htm

AND

Eternal Sonata (EU)

Both taking up their time. Eternal Sonata is by no means a bad game, it is a very beautiful, very atmospheric game with an amazing soundtrack, but by god do I find it boring. It just never managed to grab me, in terms of the story. I just find it really dull and kinda' lack luster. A shame because like I said, it's by no means a bad game. I have 17/22 achievements, leaving only 5 that I'm working towards now, and a current total of 340 GS from the game. The last 5 can only be achieved on the second (Encore) PT which is what I'm working towards finishing a little bit everyday.

Resident Evil 5 on the other hand, is a bit more interesting. I have a session later today for completing "Desperate Escape" DLC on professional. If that goes well, all I will need to do is the main game on professional (5 levels left and working towards it a bit everyday with my partner) and then make a start on the Versus DLC. I am tempted to throw some sessions up to help people beat "Lost In Nightmares" on professional and maybe even the main game on pro, just because I enjoy doing it.

Either way, hopefully I can get both these titles finished before long. That way I can make a start back on my two less important projects, Darksiders (Eugh) and Yu-Gi-Oh Millenium Duel (Eugh x2).

Thanks for reading again guys, take care and happy achievement hunting.toast

SSX and new goals.Permalink
Two days into 2015 and I've bagged myself my first completion of the year. Although I earned the majority of the achievements in 2014, the game wasn't finished until about an hour ago so I'm counting it as a 2015 finish.

Actually a really enjoyable game all the way through, with some nice challenges to keep it interesting. Really nice ratio to the game as well, with over 3500 TA Score to it's name, it's helping me boost my ratio a fair whack.

FINAL ACHIEVEMENT:
SSXThe Gold MinerThe The Gold Miner achievement in SSX worth 467 pointsCollect all Gold Explore Badges

Also has the highest ratio of the whole game, with the ratio sitting around 5.45 at the time of writing.

FAVOURITE ACHIEVEMENT:
SSXThe Golden CampaignThe The Golden Campaign achievement in SSX worth 391 pointsCollect all Gold World Tour Badges

Really challenging, attempting to do all the Deadly Descents with no rewinds. Whiteout in New Zealand was quite a challenge and although I got pretty frustrated, felt like a genuine challenge that wasn't annoying because it was cheap or broken, but because it's meant to be a challenge.

LEAST FAVOURITE ACHIEVEMENT:
SSXAround The WorldThe Around The World achievement in SSX worth 69 pointsRide with all three Pilots with each member of Team SSX

Nothing inherently wrong with this achievement, just that it was a little boring. HOWEVER, there are 3 achievements related to winning a race, trick and survive event with all SSX team characters which can be done alongside this to make it easy.

I would like to thank anyone who sent me challenges to beat and also anyone who attempted beating my challenges. Whether you contributed 1 or 21 wins, doesn't matter, they all helped a lot. Also thanks to my Character "Mac" for being a boss at the trick events and helping me get Diamond brackets with ease on the global events.

Finished the game with around 30+ Million credits, seems a waste to let them all go to waste; so I will be buying up a load of expensive Geotags worth a lot of money and EXP and dropping them around my favourite drops in somewhat reachable places; nothing too difficult since I don't really want the money coming back to me.

If anyone wants to friend me to beat some of my challenges, feel free; and likewise good luck. I'm not sure how many challenges I set or how easy they are to beat. I recall setting around 65ish medals but not sure exactly. Even if it's only a few wins, it's one step closer for you guys.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now it's on to finishing Resident Evil 5 and The Wolf Among Us. I'm also tempted to start the New games with Gold game...

MX vs. ATV Alive

Still unsure on if I want to start it though. I don't want to start any new games for my completion percentages sake, but it looks easy enough and the sooner I get it done and finished the sooner I can delete it and forget about it.

WHICH BRINGS ME ONTO MY NEXT PART; MY 2015 GOALS.

If anyone checks my page or noticed any gamer goals coming from my feed, I've set myself two goals for 2015. One of which is to reach 80% completion percentage, which in itself isn't too difficult, but I will be starting a few new games this year and since I've never been above 80%; I thought it would be a nice goal. To be able to say that I have on average 4 achievements for every 5 in game is pretty nice in my head. Currently sat at the bottom of 77%, so it's only 3% upwards, but it's around 90-100 achievements for a percent, plus if I start any new games it's only going to get bigger.

The second goal is to raise my ratio 1.9
I was sat around 1.75 and since playing SSX and some other games it has raised to 1.79 and it got me thinking. I've never had a 1.8 ratio badge, so I'm going to try for that. But 1.8 won't be super hard, not for a years work, so instead I'm also going to try reach 1.9

I scrolled through my unearned achievement list (Longer than I thought) and picked out some high (Anything from 2.0 up to 11.0+) ratio achievements. These are all now present in my to do list and I will be looking at them and the games they come from to try and earn these particularly high ratio achievements. Some games have frequent achievements in the list EG: Resident Evil 5 Versus, Monaco: What's yours is mine; and Mirrors Edge Time Trials. I will be picking up these achievements as best I can to hopefully achievement a nice new ratio badge clap

This also means, if there are any multiplayer achievements or games on my to do list EG Monaco, Far Cry 2 etc etc; then feel free to message me about boosting them. I will be needing partners to get them, so message me if you're interested and we can discuss times/sessions etc etc.

Thank you everyone and here is to a prosperous 2015 smile
