Yesterday at work I was thinking about what I could make my next blog post about and it dawned on me... I have never properly introduced myself or really told anyone who I am. Many of you have met me and spent a great deal of time with me on Live but for those who haven't I will tell you just who I am :D.

My name is Devin and I live in a tiny town on the northern coast of California. I am only a few miles from the Oregon border (that's how north I am). I am 23 years old and currently work at Safeway as a book keeper (counting money and all that joy). I also have a second job where I work with kids. I am currently going to college for a degree in computer science and maybe move out of this little town. My town is known for having the tallest totem poll!!!. Yeah tell me about it. I am currently dating a fellow gamer which is really nice since she really understands my love for collecting and really helps me get some of those rare pieces you see. I drive a little Honda Civic since my college is a great distance away from where I live. Lets see... what else do I have to say about myself? I used to play paintball in the tournament scene and our team was sponsored and we got payed to shoot people. That was some of the greatest days of my life.
My GamerTag comes from what my mother calls me. She has always called me DeekBoy from the last I can remmeber and it just kind of stuck. I am called that by close friends and family alike now.

As many of you may know I am a huge collector of video game stuff and take a great deal of pride in what I have collected over the past 3 years. I look up to people like Vendetta who inspired me to get my collection off the ground. I also need to give respect to Nick for shipping me stuff from the UK that I would normally not be able to get.

I finally hit 100K and I am so very relieved! I told myself that once I hit 100K I would be trying to things with gaming and dive deeper into more games. With that said many of you know that I am a big collectors of almost anything relating to gaming. Over the past few years I have obtained games that I won't touch because I was "afraid" I wouldn't be able to complete it. With this milestone completed I really want to dive into these games I have put off for so long. For example Deathsmiles I have heard is a great game but hard as fuck to complete so I know I won't be able to finish it unless I truly love it and then I am compelled to get it done. That doesn't mean I will give up on completing games because I still love that so very much but I want to try some new things :D. The next 100K will be a blast and I can't wait to dive into it.

With that aside I want to move on and say that this blog will be happening more and more... I know I have said that before but now that school is out I can actually spend some time and make nice blogs that you guys will hopefully care to read :P.

With gamerscore in mind do you guys miss the days where we played games for nothing more than enjoyment. Don't get me wrong I know that we all enjoy games or we would not be here. But what I mean is how gamerscore can stop you from trying new things or is that just me? I loved the days where I would play a game and not worry about a number or following a guide. Gamerscore does have its upside though since it lets me get every penny out of my games and really pushes me to reach that goal and I feel that I get to see more of the game that way. It is a love hate relationship for me and others as well I believe,

My collection pictures for this blog post are probably the nerdiest thing I have ever done. I recently took my little Pokemon figures out to the beach and surrounding forest and took some pictures of them because I love messing with photos and making them look nice. I had a great time and these aren't the only pictures I took but just the ones I have posted on my tumblr. Pokemon was one of those games that I spent hours playing with friends and family. Pokemon will always have a special place in my heart and I hate all the new Pokemon they keep coming out with. 151 or bust for me :D. Oh the memories of such fun times.
