Cheating Does and Don'ts. My Robotic opinion.
Don't:
- Use gamesaves.
- Do the second profile glitch.(This is exactly like gamesaving, using someone elses progress)
- Mod anything yourself, even on pc. (Even save files)
- Consecutively Use glitches on multiplayer to have an advantage over other players.
(Unfair advantage)
- Using third party programs to unlock achievements.
Does:
- Take advantage of bad programming/coding aka glitches in singleplayer.( Does not effect anyone else and is part of the game) Maybe the game should be played a bit more before its released if they don't want glitches to be exploited. But they probably not assed if people us a glitch anyway.
- Do use a modded weapon if they are swarmed all over the online community.( Don't make them yourself tho) I think games should patch them out if they don't want people too use them, if they do not, don't expect people not use them.)
- Do boost, this is accepted by Xbox and obviously TA.
- Do you use cheat codes, this has been put in the game by developers, therefore it is not cheating. How Ironic.
- Basically if it is in the game and you are not modifying anything yourself, no one should be punished or seen as a cheater just for taking advantage of the games flaws. Sometimes they make the game better for some people and the developers sometime take glitches in to consideration to add to the game, to enhance it. If I couldn't speed-run borderlands 1 in 1 hour and 15 minutes, It wouldn't be the game it is to me and other people today. Most speed-runners abuse glitches tremendously! This is because if there were no glitches, none of their times would be drastically different. For example someone Speed-runs borderlands in 4 hours and 30 minutes while another guy does it in 2:30 using berserkers speed glitch. So if there were no glitches they would be less speedrun videos out there because if nobody used glitches their times would not be interestingly distant from each-other and speedrunning wouldn't be as popular as it is today. That is just one of the positives of glitches. Are they getting banned, nope!! and I'm sure someone at xbox has seen someone speedrun dark souls or any other game using a glitch and I doubt they really care enough to ban them.
And obviously I say don't use multiplayer glitches "Consecutively" Because this could get you banned from xbox, obviously if you do it a little or come across it yourself their should be no punishment as long as you are not "Consecutively" using it.
