0 Day Attack on Earth is a 2-stick shooter similar to Geometry Wars. The game is pretty bland and clearly overpriced. At the time of this review, there are two relatively expensive DLC packs which add little to the game and have no achievements.

The gameplay is pretty standard - move with LS, shoot with RS, boost with LB and bomb with RB. Your shots and bombs have limited range so you have to get pretty close to kill things. The base game is organized into three identical-looking, ugly levels (NYC, Tokyo and Paris), each with seven stages with the last stage being a very easy boss battle. Since the stages (except the boss battle) vary only in the number of enemies, you really only get six distinct levels. There are two multiplayer modes (co-op and checkpoint capture), neither of which has an active online community. For a shooter, this game is really easy, though cheap deaths abound. None of the enemies poses a serious challenge once you know their attack pattens. In fact, your most deadly enemy is the purple smoke that dots the landscape and causes damage to your plane when you run into it. The camera is so zoomed in that it's easy to crash into the smoke clouds, especially when boosting across the screen. The levels are timed (5 min, IIRC) but that's usually not a problem as long as you are focusing on the orange enemies which are needed to get to the next stage.

The achievements for this game are easy (with one exception) but will require some grinding, especially the "kill 100 enemies in online co-op" achievement which only refers to the ORANGE enemies so it takes forever. The only difficult achievement is to complete the game without losing a life. It's really easy to crash into the purple clouds which costs a lot of health so you have to be very careful to get that one.

I think this game is pretty 'meh'. I wouldn't say it's terrible, but it's not good, either and it's very expensive at $15 USD. If you bought the DLC, you'd have sunk over $20 into 200 GS in a dull, samey shooter.
