A classic 2D side scroller with awesome art and animation. Shank is your basic revenge story. If any of you have seen Kill Bill (both volumes), and liked it, then this game is up your alley. Shank and Kill Bill's plots are extremely alike, a man (Shank) is seemingly apart of some type of assassination squad, he is ordered to kill the woman whom he has feelings for. Lying to his boss (Cesar), he goes to the woman's house, but does not know he was followed by his 3 companions. Soon after Shank arrives, the three companions kick the shit out of him, murder his girlfriend and think they leave Shank for dead.

The actual story begins with Shank on a journey of revenge to kill the three persons who killed his girlfriend, and more importantly, the man who was behind the whole thing. Shank mows down enemies with chainsaws, hacks 'em up with dual mechete's, and blasts them away with a shotgun.

Shank is also a bit pricey for such a short game. I bought, played, and finished the game the day of release. There's co-op, but only locally and an achievement for beating the multiplayer campaign but you aren't able to team up with anyone online which is a huge downer; especially if there is a separate storyline for it. And there aren't any other game modes except for a Hard difficulty (if you count that).

I give this game a solid 4/5, it's fun, it's not boring, it's just way to short and not enough content to keep me playing for even days to come. Hopefully some DLC or the ability to play online with a friend will make me play more.
