Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt1, is a two part game to the final installment in the Harry Potter saga, the game itself isnt bad, and can be perceived as very good if you are a Potter fan, however those who arent may find the game dull, and limited. Many have said this game has taken alot of aspects of Call Of Duty games, such as rapid firing spells. So while you laugh as the death eaters crumble at your rapid firing superiority, you find yourself asking whether or not you should be playing a 12 year olds game in order to get easy achievements, the answers is NO of course not. You have a range of 12 spells, including the much forgotten Four-Point spell (the fans know comes from Goblet Of Fire) this is one of the most useful spells to find your way through this game, although the game is pretty linear so its hard to get lost. Much of the other spells do the same trick such as Stupify, Impedimenta and Expluso. Along with your range of spells, you can use a few potions to aid your quest such as the non-exsisting Exploding potion, ranging all the way to the Garrotting gas, which adds an comical feature of allowing your enemies to choke to death. Come on seriously Harry is a 17 year old teenage wizard, would he rather be watching people choke to death, or try a slightly easier conquest in which many people would be happy about and try and get with Hermione

Along with many missions of combat, they game offers a few stealth missions chucked in for good measure, where you are required to wear the famous invisibilty cloak and sneak your away around london and the ministry. With an added meter in the corner that runs out if your close to being spotted, although this is a good way of displaying it, I found that even when no-one was around the meter still went down.

Another strange part of the game is that part way through the main quest you have to go on random little missions to save muggle borns from death eaters, which in effect I ended up failing because I kept "accidently" letting them die... But since that has nothing to do with the film or book.. I find quite a pointless feature.

Some of the games big let downs are the amount of loading screens, and unskippable cutscenes which you will have to endure if you happen to die alot. Another down side is this is the first harry potter game on the 360 as far as i know without stackable achievements for the difficulty, for those of you who dont know what that means, its when you play through on hard, it unlocks the achievements for playing through on medium and easy too.

The game also allows you to play co-op missions, and compete in little challenges and compare scores. This is one of the first games that incorperates Kinect in a very unusual manner, allowing you to cast spells with your hands, for those who do not have kinect still have the chance to cast spells with the controller by selecting the spell you want to use via the spell wheel and casting it, Annoying for some people who want to get 1000G this cannot be achieved without the purchase of kinect... the kinect feature i find is an interesting little add-on, sure while your standing in front of your tv waving your hands around like a loon and trying to remember which combo does what spell seems like a fun idea, the fun-ness runs out after a few missions, so the question is.. Is that needed?

The graphics are ok but not fantastic, and the voice acting only has some of the cast from the movie. Although it is fairly easy on achievements too.

For the final game i want the entire cast to voice it and improvement on the graphics. So Dan Radcliffe can get off his high horse and work on voicing a poxy video game for once in his life.

This is how I rate my games:
Gameplay - how long is the game, is it fun to play?
Sound - does it sound good?
Graphics - how realistic does it look?
Achievements - not how easy they are to get but are they enjoyable to get?
Replayability - once the games beaten is it worth going back?

GAMEPLAY : 6/10
SOUND : 7/10
GRAPHICS : 6/10
ACHIEVEMENTS: 6/10
REPLAYABILITY : 4/10
OVERALL : 6.5/10

It was one huge wand fight all the way through. I enjoyed the old school games of exploring hogwarts, obviously that couldn't be done in this game. But it felt as if I was just replaying the same mission over and over again. Usually I play games on the easiest setting, get a feel for it then go hard. No way am I'm doing that here, luckily I rented from gamefly so its going right back. No replayability at all. However one good thing...achievements are very easy to get. Every mission is constant fighting, its like a call of duty with wands, and whats suprising call of duty has more story relative missions than this. You'll arrive ay your safehouse then next thing you know its a side mission saving mules in an abandoned warehouse. Part 2 probably isn't much better so I won't even be trying it out. If youre a die hard wizard fan you'll adore this game, if you like harry potter maybe you'll like it, if you're a game looking for a good time, you won't.
