Introducing the TrueAchievements Battle Royale

These past few months have been, as expected, very slow for gaming, so within the TA offices we've been working on something new to share with you guys. We're calling it the TrueAchievements Battle Royale.

What is it? It's a series of polls to be held here on TA over the coming weeks that will decide who the biggest and best hero of Xbox is. All of your favorite protagonists, like Master Chief and John Marston, and even some like The Gunstringer and Naughty Bear, are taking part in this mash-up to decide the age-old question: "who would win in a fight?" Every day we'll have another poll on the front page of the site for you to vote on, and we'll keep it going with recaps in between rounds. Like any tournament, we've seeded the 32 participants into two brackets of 16. So there's two number one seeds, two number two seeds, and so on.

Be on the lookout for the first matchup today. These first few rounds will have the polls remaining open for 24 hours each. Check back regularly for the newest poll to make sure your favorite characters make it through to the next round.

As characters are eliminated and the victors move on, each round will have the highest remaining seeds face the lowest remaining seeds, like the NFL playoffs or most other tournaments of this nature. Be sure to look for the Tale of the Tape in the thread of each matchup and join in the discussion to explain why your vote went one way or another. Maybe you could even write up how the battle goes down. Again, look out for the first matchup today and we hope you stick around to crown the victor!
