Can't I get some Quiet, Please?!

Written by mancide on 12 August 12 at 16:50

Quiet, Please! is a puzzle game reminiscent of days gone by. Besides, who hasn't had one of those days where they just want to come home to some peace and quiet?

I guess I need to admit I have a soft-spot for these games that bring back memories of the first point-and-click adventure games I played on the computer. While Quiet, Please! is not quite as involved as the King's Quest series, it does bring back some fond memories for me from that era of gaming.

Puzzle adventure games like this do not need cumbersome control schemes getting in the way. Quiet, Please! follows this edict perfectly. Press A to open doors and interact with objects. Press X to pick-up objects, but remember you can only carry one at a time!

You will definitely spend some time just trying to figure out what you need to accomplish. Your task is simple, to make the house quiet, However, how you need to go about that goal is not quite as simple. Ladders, vases, wine? Where to start first.

You can pick up Quiet, Please! for 80 MSP. If only it was that easy, or inexpensive to buy some quiet around my house these days.

If you have an Xbox Live Indie Game that you feel should be featured in an edition of the Indie Games Spotlight, please PM your suggestions to mancide.

This looks kinda cute. Might be a fun buy. Anything with little short pixelated people and a sense of humor makes me think of the days I played nothing but Earthbound.

Will the kittens be mailed or do we have to pick them up?

This was really cool. Made feel like I was in first grade again playing DOS point-and-clicks in the back of the classroom. My girlfriend will really appreciate this download. She loves the Monkey Island and Journeyman series... well any point-and-click really. smile
IT'S DANGEROUS TO GO ALONE! TAKE THIS. YOU GOT THE BFG9000!! OH, YES.

This was a nice little puzzle. Sadly short -- even moreso than DLC Quest -- but it was interesting enough that I'm cool with the 20 minutes I got for my dollar. It was a bit hard to notice the kittens in the game were actually kittens - I originally thought they were rabbits hopping around. And that brother... hilariously annoying.
