I was a faithful since the original hockey on Sega. In fact, before that I had Wayne Gretzky hockey on the Amiga. But I haven't bought an NHL title since 08. Ever since I couldn't change lines with a button setup, no reason for me to bother playing. Then they bring it out year after year with the same 1 or 2 tweaks, and then a couple of things I enjoyed missing.
I just returned to Tiger13 after not buying since 09, and I'd give it the same review. Except everything in it is a money grab. Its set up like an iOS game... you can finish it without buying "coins" (really? coins? could it be any more iOS?) but its a huge pain in the sack. Then add in the "online pass" crap so you can't buy it used and there is little wonder EA is on a downward slope.
I love having a popup to BUY courses everytime I try and play with my friends after dropping $60 on a game. Its awesome. Said no one. |
